Studded into the beautiful Devon countryside, this gorgeously rustic country cottage is a truly romantic retreat. Sink into the hot tub, perfect for two, then snuggle up by the fire, watching a film or reading a book before heading to bed. This sympathetically converted barn, bursting with charm, nestles within a former dairy farm which you are welcome to explore during your stay.
Over the path, through the countryside, the beautiful barn comes into sight. Wooden panels, exposed stone and whitewash dress the outside, creating a picture-perfect scene against the emerald backdrop. Inside, meticulous care has been taken to retain many of the barn’s original features - from the exposed stone feature fireplace to the high vaulted ceiling and traditional slate-tiled floor, there’s charm to be found around every corner. The open-plan living/dining space is inviting, charming and provides a social area from which to chat, relax, cook and dine, all in the pleasure of your loved one’s company. The spiral staircase leads you to the master bedroom which is like something out of a fairy tale; a grand four-poster bed hung with drapes in rich reds and golds sits amongst carefully chosen antique furniture. Outside, take your pick of the rear and front patio, light the BBQ and dine alfresco before taking a dip in the hot tub housed in the building attached to the main property.
The fresh countryside air flowing in through the stable door is sure to entice you to explore. Stay local and explore the farmland or head a little further and take a trip to one of the stunning nearby beaches; with Westward Ho!, Hartland, Bucks Mills, Croyde and Woolacombe all within easy reach, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The village of Woolfardisworthy (Woolsery) is just 1 mile away, the perfect place to grab some fish and chips to tuck into back at the cottage.
