This charming stone barn conversion is set on a lush smallholding in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the Hartland Heritage Coast. A romantic bolthole, it’s the perfect rural hideaway for an ocean-loving couple and their dog. Stroll past the multicoloured houses lining the harbour of Appledore and listen to the fisherman’s boats clinking in the water, before returning to your home from home to unwind in the crackling glow of the wood burner.

This cleverly configured property boasts a cosy interior with ambient lighting, exposed beams and earthy slate, stone and wooden textures throughout. Perch on the box seat in the hallway to remove coats and boots, then potter into the heart of the home and bask in the heat of the roaring wood burner. Whip up a post-adventure meal in the sleek shaker kitchen then toast to your special occasion. Tuck into your meal gathered around the intimate dining table bathed in light streaming from the window. As the night draws in, snuggle up on the sofa, indulge in a sweet treat and unwind with a film on the Smart TV. Rest up in the light-dappled king-size room and embrace a leisurely breakfast in bed. Soak in the balmy Devon climate with an al fresco coffee in the enclosed stone courtyard and enjoy the soothing sounds of the farm. There is an outside warm water shower at the property.

Thanks for the welcome cake. We found several features convenient e.g. bench to change shoes, hooks for coats by entrance and places to put things in shower room. Generous quantity of logs provided. The particular location was lovely to stay. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay. The Barn is very comfortable and functional, everything you could possibly need is catered for. There are plenty of places to visit by car; 20 minutes to the beach at Westward Hoe, 30 minutes for food at Blackberry Farm, 40 minutes to Arlington Court , and others.
