This 17th-century cottage is a picture-perfect country cottage that offers families of four an idyllic rural getaway in the Devonshire countryside. Despite its green landscape, the property boasts proximity to the seaside of Croyde, which is famous for its superb sandy beaches, surfing community, olde-worlde charm and many delicious eateries to choose from.

As perfect on the inside as it is on the outside, this charming thatched cottage welcomes you to pop your bags down, make a cup of tea and nestle yourself in the pillowy sofa in the living room. Relax here with a film on the Smart TV and catch up with family and friends over glasses of wine and bowls of nibbles. Cook up tasty breakfasts, lunches, and dinners in the fully equipped kitchen and carry your meals to the cosy dining room or out to the pretty garden. This enclosed space offers beautiful views across the Devon landscape and has plenty of space for kids and dogs to play. There are two well-appointed bedrooms in the cottage, a double and a twin, as well as a family bathroom with a walk-in shower. Take the steep stairs down to the ground floor in the morning and enjoy your morning coffee outside in peaceful surroundings.

A stay in this cottage wouldn’t be complete without a trip down to the magical sands of Croyde Beach. While away the hours running along the sand dunes, building sandcastles or strolling around the shops, and finished off with scoops of ice cream from the traditional ice cream parlour. Other local beaches include Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and Putsborough, which are all within 2 miles. Keen trekkers will be spoilt for choice with the South West Coast Path routes. Exmoor National Park is a 13-mile drive; however, it’s well worth it for the woodland walks and deer spotting.

A real 17th century character COTTAGE with everything a first-time cottage renter would expect. The steep stairs to the bedrooms (as expected of similarly aged properties) but there are also steps down to the kitchen & bathroom extension too. Aside from rugs in the lounge & on the stairs, there are modern wood & tiled floors throughout and we were Read moretherefore glad we took our slippers for our Autumn visit. Hide

The cottage was well equipped and comfortable the dog friendliness is important for our enjoyment to allow us to relax, it has a really good large lawn with secure fencing all round.
