Wake up to countryside views with your other half and four-legged companion by your side in this intimately sized hut surrounded by nature in South Devon. Everything you need is in one well-organised space with an elevated outdoor seating area which looks out across the treetops of the Christmas tree farm you’ll be staying on. As well as rural walking routes and the quaint village of Marldon to explore, the coast and lively town of Torquay is within easy reach.
Climb the wooden steps to reach the front door of this two-person property and step inside to find a neat open-plan living space. Plenty of natural light fills the Earthy-toned hut through the well-placed windows and glass patio doors. To the right is a comfortable double bed with a Smart TV positioned to watch a movie as you drift off to sleep. On the other side is a compact kitchen where you can cook a romantic meal and dine at the table while the wood burner keeps you warm. Through the door is a surprisingly spacious neutral-toned shower room. Outside is a decked area with seating for alfresco dining and a BBQ.
Stroll into the centre of Marldon (0.5 miles) to find a couple of traditional pubs, a village shop and Occombe Farm – where you can meet the animals or pop into the deli. Fido will love the nearby Occombe Valley Woods nature reserve (1 mile). Head east to reach the seaside town of Paignton (3.5 miles), which has an all-year-round dog-friendly beach at North Sands on Goodrington Sands. Torquay is 4.5 miles away and is a buzzing seaside town with plenty of attractions, restaurants and shops.
