Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, single-storey, barn-style retreat, which has solar and wood-powered heating, sits in glorious countryside. It is 8 miles from Honiton and 7 miles from Broadhembury, which is widely acclaimed as one of Devon’s most picturesque villages. Return from your excursions to toast beside a roaring wood burner or enjoy the fresh air out in the courtyard.

Let yourselves into this rural hideaway that could suit a small family or two couples away together. Find yourselves in an inviting, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, and ample space for everyone to spread out. Hang your outerwear before making yourselves comfortable on the sofas, listening to music or watching the Smart TV for a spell. Lay a fire in the wood burner with sustainably grown logs then unwind in its cosy glow. The kitchen/dining area encompasses plenty of storage and offers generous space for catering for your party and then sitting down to eat at the table together. One of your bedrooms, a king-size with an en-suite shower room, can be found, down a couple of steps, on this side of the cottage too. The other bedroom, a twin, also featuring an en-suite shower room, is at the other end of the property. Make fresh coffee in the stove pot to carry out into the courtyard on warm mornings or sit under the stars with a chilled bottle of wine on summer evenings.

Step straight out to find bridleways and footpaths through your scenic surroundings. Plan days at the coast as well: Sidmouth, with its traditional seaside appeal, beautiful beach, and opportunities for water sports, and Branscombe, which is popular with walkers, are both 18 miles away.

Lovely accommodation nestled in the Blackdowns AONB. Owners of the property welcomed us and even invited us to take a sneak peek around their private garden area. Beautiful countryside and many good pubs for good and drink. Cant thank the owners enough for their hospitality. Would definitely recommend. Nous avons pass un excellent sjour. Le cottage est vraiment trs joliment dcor et confortable, entour de fleurs. Le calme parfait. Toutes sortes dattractions moins de trente minutes et des balades magnifiques alentour.

We had an excellent stay. The cottage is really very nicely decorated, comfortable and surrounded by flowers. Perfect CaRead morelm. All kinds of attractions less than 30 minutes away and magnificent walks nearby.

A well designed, fully equipped cottage in a peaceful rural area. The owners were close on hand should there be any queries, of which there were few but which were dealt with immediately. Highly recommended without exception.
