Escape to the South Devon coast and stay in this stunning one-bedroom beach hut, the perfect for a short break in a romantic bolthole, on the beach. Located right on the beachfront and nestled within the idyllic fishing village of Shaldon, you'll enjoy seaside nostalgia with modern home comforts. Explore the winding streets of the village, less than 0.5 miles away, then head back to the hut to dine alfresco on the patio before enjoying the private beach access for a sunset stroll.

Step inside and be greeted by a nautical-themed open-plan living space, complete with a sofa, breakfast table and stools, and a Smart TV. The galley kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you need for catering, complemented by luxury granite worktops. A spacious tiled bathroom is next to the kitchen. Climb the quirky sliding ladder to the intimate mezzanine bedroom, featuring a king-size futon, illuminated by spotlights along the wooden-clad ceiling. Enjoy the best views of the seafront from the rear of the beach hut, which opens out onto a private paved terrace, enclosed by a traditional coastal stone wall. The outdoor dining set provides the perfect spot to dine alfresco, with private ladder access leading straight onto the beach.

The idyllic fishing village of Shaldon is situated at the mouth of the Teign Estuary on the edge of the English Riviera. This property is less than half a mile from the centre of the village, where you can explore an eclectic selection of independent shops and boutiques selling the best local produce. If you’re looking for a secluded beach, less than 1 mile away is Ness Cove Beach, completely enclosed by the shelter of the cliffs above. Perfect for swimming and water sports, this picturesque beach is accessible through an original smugglers' tunnel. You can also travel over to neighbouring Teignmouth on the historic black and white ferry, which is just 1 mile away.

We would highly recommend this beach hut. It is small but very well organised with plenty of outside space and easy access to the beach. The fixtures and accessories have been well thought out and good quality. It is very good value for money in a beautiful area

Really lovely location, fantastic view and access to the beach, walks and ferry. Comfy, cosy accommodation, wish we could have stayed longer.

Generally we had a really lovely time staying at the beach Hut number 5 though there were a couple of things that were hard to see past. The location was brilliant, bed comfortable and although the position of the sink was a challenge the layout was fine. We loved opening the folding doors in the morning and just letting the sunshine in across thRead moree estuary. The food both next door in The Clipper cafe and at The London Inn was first class. The ferry across to Teignmouth was great and there were lovely walks and beaches everywhere. We literally parked the car on the Friday and did not use it until we left on the Monday. Overall a great location in a lovely part of the world and a quirky place to stay. Hide

Great concept, but impractical layout. Stylish but not so User Friendly and poor value when compared to The Ness, for Example, where we stayed for the following two Nights. Kind Regards John

Excellent location. Very comfortable and immaculate. Elder people may struggle with the mezzanine bed. Local facilities all within a short walk. Lovely cafe 20 yds from the front door. Lovely views from the terrace which is directly on the beach.

We stayed here for NYE. The hut was clean and cosy, with an outside area overlooking the beach. The mattress and pillows were really comfortable. I would say that if you are planning Christmas new years you book the pubs as they were very busy and you could only go in for a drink if there was a table free or you booked. We walked to Teignmouth whicRead moreh took about 20 minutes. There are lots of pubs and places to eat there. Our New Year's eve was very cosy and we would highly recommend. Hide

The Shaldon Beach Hut offers exactly what you need for a relaxing carefree stay. Just park your car on the allocated space outside the front door. Everything you need for your stay is within walking distance. Shaldon is a beautiful coastal village with many local shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes with very friendly staff. The Hut is well equipped.Read more Opening onto the beach and the boats on the River Teign, well positioned to feel private and safe. Plenty to do, a regular ferryboat goes to Teignmouth or you can take a short walk to the Smugglers Tunnel which takes you to Ness Cove Beach. Hide

Too hot at night, didn't feel safe enough to leave the door open, I couldn't imagine how this would be in the high of summer. Bed was comfy. 9am checkout wasn't great, the other beach huts are 10/11 checkout and if I'd have known that before I booked I'd have chosen one of them instead.
