  • Magnificent, panoramic views out across Lyme Bay

Property code: OC-MBSPR

Admire Lyme Bay in all its Jurassic Coast glory from this cosy seaside retreat that’s right for a couple or even two friends who don’t mind sharing. There’s a cot available if you’re a young family, too. In a brilliant position along Seaton’s seafront, this one-bed apartment’s first-floor position affords it glorious sea views – not to mention great people-watching. Add allocated parking to the mix and it ticks loads of boxes. There’s lots to see and do in both Seaton and the wider area – if you can tear yourself away from gazing out to sea!

Accessed via stairs, this bijou beauty is well-equipped with all you could need or want for an extremely comfortable holiday. With the lounge/diner, it’s really all about those views. Dine by the window watching people jogging or walking their dogs along the seafront or curl up on the sofa. The comprehensive, galley-style kitchen has all you should need for holiday self-catering, but Seaton’s also got lots of cafes, pubs and eateries for treats. There’s no outside space at this apartment but it’s so close to the beach and prom that it shouldn’t matter.

Explore Seaton’s shops, sights and amenities. At one end of the pebbly beach is Axmouth Harbour' watch small crafts skilfully navigate their passage in and out of the narrow mouth. On the other end of the beach, you’ll find colourful beach huts and another rugged headland. Check out glories from a bygone age including the Clock Tower, Seafield Gardens or Cliff Field Gardens. The electric Seaton Tramway runs almost year-round within the town and out to nearby villages for sightseeing with a difference. Or take to the South West Coast Path to traverse the cliffs 2 miles to picture-perfect Beer. Sidmouth’s Regency glamour lies 10 miles west with its dramatic red cliffs.

The location and view are great. The sofa is comfortable but most other things are very dated, one example the old toaster didn't pop and needed 2 tries to toast etc. No soap in the bathroom and the purple bath towels are very small, thin and don't dry very well. The lounge has one very dim light, the curtains don't close and are ripped and staiRead morened so it's not very attractive or cosy. It's very basic and I didn't think rated a 3 star but the location and front view are definitely 3 star plus. Its a real shame it could be so much nicer with a little care and updating a few things. The fairly old kitchen equipment didn't have proper PAT testing stickers as no date or initials etc. Hide

The Seaview apartment was comfortable. Well stocked with utensils etc. Clean and tidy. Would recommend it for the view and locality.

The condition of the property communal entrance and stairs going up to flat was okay quite clean. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was clean and well equipped. Flat was comfortable, and in good position right on the sea front with great views, and easy five minutes walk into town. Used as a base for exploring the area, so didn't spend a lot of tRead moreime in flat. Hide

A fantastic location, and most of what you need, but some very poor decor let it down. Topped with noise from flat above, it's less than ideal. The location is phenomenal - perhaps cleaning the windows regularly may make the most of it... The towels are tiny, and no soap on arrival. It's a decent property let down by a few issues.

Lovely apartment right on the sea front with very convenient easy, off road reserved parking. Very close to town and a huge Tesco, also local bus routes to Sidmouth, Beer, Axminster, Honiton and Exeter. Very much appreciated, is a shower which is at a perfect water temperature almost immediately, without any messing around or waiting ! HaRead moreve stayed here before, and fully intend to again.
