Inside this gorgeous property, the accommodation is all on one level, with a bright and spacious open-plan living area which is tastefully decorated and makes for a beautiful place to return home to.The light floods through the wide French doors and elevated window at ceiling level and the corner wood burner is perfect for cosying up to during the cooler evenings. A large soft corner sofa faces the garden, so kick off your shoes with a book and a glass of wine and just relax. There is also thermostat controlled electric underfloor heating throughout making it cosy on chillier evenings. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up your favourite dishes, but why not give yourself a break and book a table at one of the excellent restaurants in the village, all within walking distance. Both bedrooms - one king size and one twin both have fabulous en-suite bathrooms with large raindrop shower heads and baths and the rooms themselves are finished to a very high standard with beds strewn with fur throws, fresh white bedding and grey and white decor. Outside, there is a lovely lawned garden area - perfect for children and dogs, plus there’s a seating area with BBQ.
This scandi wood clad cabin is in a central location in Shaldon, a quaint little fishing town, opposite Teignmouth at the mouth of the River Teign, hop on one of the regular ferries and explore further afield. It’s a great place for walking too with the South West Coast Path offering some fabulous coastal strolls right on the doorstep. Follow one of the nature trails, indulge in a spot of bird watching on the river or try your hand at one of the water sports on offer. Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy the 18-hole golf course just a mile away and the charming local conservation zoo is a must, as are the fabulous beaches and the Homeyards Botanical Gardens (1 mile). Visit in August and join in the fun of the annual Shaldon Regatta, so be prepared to get swept up in the merriment! Guests are also just over 8 miles from the lively attractions of Torquay and the surrounding area has many popular National Trust properties, beaches and coastal tourist attractions.
