Torquay Food & Drink

There are plenty of options for food and drink in Torquay, with lots of delicious restaurants on the front of the marina including the michelin starred Elephant Restaurant run by Simon Hulstone.

Just up the road from the harbourside, in Wellswood, is the Waddling Duck Bistro serving up a wide range of local food and produce. The interesting Memories Bistro further up the road in St Marychurch is one of Torquay’s best kept secrets. Decorated throughout with memorabilia, you'll find fresh Brixham fish and locally sourced meat on the menu.

Families will love Meat59 located on Abbey Road just off the main shopping high street. Choose from a wide selection of gourmet burgers and toppings with six different types of fries to order.

Looking for something a bit different? Maido Japanese Noodle bar is a relaxed cafe serving up delicious authentic japanese food. For those special occasions The Restaurant at Orestone Manor can be found just outside of Torquay. The views are incredible and the food esquicite.

A visit to South Devon wouldn’t be without a proper Devon cream tea (apply the cream first!) and you will be spoilt for choice in Torquay. Rose Cottage in the pretty village suburb of Cockington is the perfect spot for some indulgence. Angels on Babbacombe Down offer an afternoon tea with the option of a glass of prosecco.

And if you fancy cocktails, head to CoCos on the front and indulge in a pre-dinner drink.
