Threshing Barn, The Workshop, Cider Pound and The Gearing at Marwoods Farm Cottages and their Owners, won Marsdens Cottage Holidays Excellence Award 2012 and a lovely hamper of local Devon goodies, on Sunday 4th November at the annual Marsdens home-owner event.
This year the event was held at the Royal North Devon Golf Course clubhouse, which is beautifully situated on Northam Burrows and has far reaching views over the links to the sea, taking in the sweeping Devon coastline and as far as Lundy Island. Martin Wickham, General Manager at Marsdens, welcomed the many owners to the event with a short re-cap of the year so far, which has had challenges to overcome, but on the whole an excellent year for our brand and topped off nicely with Marsdens winning Best Tourism/Hospitality Business Award in Devon, as recently reported.
Presentations were made following a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch, with this year's recognition being for Excellence in Quality and Service. A further special, Overall Excellence Award, went to the delighted owner of A Sunnyside at Granville Point. This beautifully presented apartment has stunning sea views from its South facing balcony, gained from its position on the fourth floor of this landmark building.
