Set on a 175-acre working family farm, this spacious barn conversion is perfect for rural getaways with family or friends. Set out on foot to explore the surrounding countryside, pop into nearby Barnstaple (13 miles) for an afternoon of retail therapy or head to the beach to soak up the sun before returning to the barn for a cosy night on the sofa.

Inside, this sympathetically-converted barn is brimming with charm through exposed beams and ceiling trusses, flagstone flooring and stonework. The large family kitchen offers plenty of workspace for preparing delicious meals, which can later be enjoyed in the delightful dining area. For those rainy afternoons and chilly evenings, there’s no better place to relax than beside the roaring wood burner in the cosy lounge next door. When the sun is shining, enjoy a family BBQ in the enclosed garden, try a game of croquet or greet the sheep in the nearby paddocks.

The peaceful rural location of this property makes it the perfect destination for keen walkers looking for a quiet break. For a change of scene, drive to nearby Barnstaple, which boasts a range of amenities including a theatre, cinema, bowling alley, high street shops and selection of eateries. Beachgoers should head for the sandy stretches at Westward Ho! (22 miles) and Croyde (23 miles), while culture lovers will enjoy discovering the area’s choice of National Trust properties from Arlington Court (22 miles) to Lydford Gorge (30 miles).

Lovely barn conversion, extremely friendly and helpful owners. Good working farm with lots of sheep, friendly dogs, 4 ponies and 5 noisy peacocks! There's a great honesty box at the gateway with lovely, freshly laid eggs most days.Set in an extremely peaceful village with a minimum 15 mins drive from anywhere, there is a village shop which is quite Read moreexpensive and has limited produce. Nearest beach is Westward Ho! which our Daughters labrador loved and was around 20 mins drive away and 5 to park. Hide
