You’ll be 1 mile from Ilfracombe Harbour, home to many fine pubs, restaurants and Damien Hirst’s impressive Verity, a towering bronze sculpture. The town also boasts a number of beaches, including the historic Tunnels Beaches built in Victorian times. If you wanted to venture further, there’s much to discover: Combe Martin (6 miles), home to an animatronic dinosaur and wildlife park; Barnstaple (12 miles) where you can enjoy a spot of shopping, and the beautiful surf beaches of Woolacombe (8 miles), Croyde (11 miles) and Saunton (12 miles).
