This spacious, serene former coach house makes a perfect rural retreat for those who wish to enjoy the peace and privacy of the area for a romantic break. Although pleasantly secluded, the property's central location on the county border makes an ideal base for exploring much of what Devon and Cornwall has to offer.
The downstairs of the property is well laid out and provides a very social space. Relax in front of the Smart TV in the evening and make the most of the fire on chillier evenings. After a day of activity, you will feel fully rested after a night in the well-proportioned bedroom, with its inviting king-size bed and the convenience of an en-suite bathroom. Enjoy al fresco meals or a glass of wine in the sunshine, sitting in the private, sheltered garden. The owners provide a selection of homemade goods on your arrival and offer seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables to purchase from their garden during your stay. Regretfully, no children or babies can be accommodated at this location.
Roadford Lake is only 2 miles away and offers some stunning amenities and exciting activities. At the Activity Centre, you can hire canoes and paddleboards or even try your hand at sailing under supervision. Fishing boats can also be hired and the lake is well stocked with brown trout for enthusiastic anglers. The Lakeside Restaurant boasts wonderful views and caters for everything from cream teas to a full Sunday roast, and is open all year round. Other local attractions include Launceston (8 miles), the ancient capital of Cornwall, with its historic castle, markets and a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants.
