This beautiful barn conversion provides comfortable and stylish accommodation for six people close to the pretty coves and wide golden beaches of the North Devon coast. The property nestles within 300 acres of organic sheep and arable farmland and enjoys beautiful scenic views across the rolling Devonshire hills.
The beautiful oak floor in the entrance hallway gives a sense of character and history; much of the wood comes from equipment once pulled by the horses in the roundhouse. The hall leads to the kitchen/diner where you can gather round the farmhouse-style table for delicious home-cooked meals over tales of the day’s adventures. The atmospheric, old-world feel of the building is enhanced by the exposed beams in the ceilings, the oak and slate floors and the spectacular countryside views. But you’re not without modern amenities, including a DVD player in the lounge and TVs in each bedroom. There is a spacious, super-king size bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs is a comfortable king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom with en-suite shower and WC.
On the coast, Woolacombe (6 miles) offers a long sandy beach and a number of smaller coves and bays: perfect for surfers and fun family days. There’s also a number of bars, shops and eateries for you to browse. The Victorian fishing town of Ilfracombe (8 miles) has a range of activities available including fishing trips, day trips to the island of Lundy, theatres, a marine aquarium, shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries. Travel inland and you can enjoy the beauty of Exmoor, perhaps including a trip to Exmoor Zoo (11 miles). Other family fun days out include Watermouth Castle (7 miles) and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (8 miles).
