What a lovely, secluded place to stay for a week. Small but perfectly formed!! Lovely garden for us and the dog to relax in (we were very lucky with the weather). We had walks in the woods (we didn't see any wildlife, probably scared off by the mad spaniel being mad!!) Would definitely love to stay again.

This is an idyllic little bolt hole perfect for taking a four legged friend along. The owners are super friendly and helpful but do not intrude on your privacy. This is our second time and will definitely not be our last. In fact I think it should be nicknamed Mary Poppins - practically perfect in every way!

Really beautiful quiet place to stay. Would recommend to all that like isolation. But within easy journeys to shops restaurants and many great walks, even for mobility scooters. Would recommend Wimbleball lake.

It was a fantastic location, it was a comfortable little palace surrounded by trees, quiet and secluded. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. You are free to roam in the woods which is left to be wild. If this is what you like it is wonderful. We loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature.

Track to Wonham Lodge is offroad, anyone not comfortable with 100m of steep rocky trail beware! missing essentials like coffee, hair drier and ironing board/iron. Advertised as having wifi but it didn't work. Woodlands are great and you are easy access to places like bat's iron age castle, river exe and a plethora of pubs and hiking trails. OverallRead more, it is a quiet lovely place to stay just needs a few minor improvements! Hide

Wonham lodge is rated 3 star. Personally I would give it 4. Can't be beaten for peace and quiet with a woodland walk literally on the doorstep but a nice little town only a few minutes drive away. One section of the steep track up to the lodge is particularly hairy and could do with some attention. It was also disappointing not to have a hairdryer Read moresupplied but hey, we survived and enjoyed our stay. Hide

A perfect, remote getaway. The setting literally in the middle of a forest is so beautiful and peaceful and lots of lovely walks right on the doorstep. It's a great location to explore local villages (we loved Bampton) and to get to the coast. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing break.

This place was amazing! We usually go camping but with a dog who cannot be let off her lead we were looking for somewhere where my husband didnt have to have her tied to his arm all night. A very secluded spot with total peace and quiet.the place was spotless and the owner was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Lodge is in a peaceful location, and is comfortable. The shower is excellent. The one drawback is the rutted track up to the lodge. We were there in cold weather and the track became icy and treacherous.
