Sleeping three guests, the two-bedroom hideaway nestles on a farm near Hennock, 3 miles from Bovey Tracey. One of three cottages on the site, the delightful, single-storey bolthole comes with its own outdoor seating area, as well as access to shared facilities including gardens, an outdoor kitchen, a dog exercise paddock and a games barn, with a home cinema.

Let yourselves into the pet-friendly cottage to find yourselves in an attractively furnished, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Light the wood burner in here to throw a cosy glow across the space and settle on the sofa to watch the Smart TV or a DVD. Pull open the bi-folding door on bright spring and summer days. Discover the compact kitchen area includes everything you will need to help you prepare hearty breakfasts and delicious dinners to enjoy at the dining table. After each busy day away in South Devon, enjoy the comfort of the immaculate bedrooms, a double and a single, both of which have been designed to ensure you enjoy a relaxing night’s sleep. There is also a family shower room at the cottage. Dine out in the fresh air of your own lawned seating area on fine days. Cook on the wood-fired BBQ in the shared outdoor kitchen.

Head out on foot or by bicycle to discover picturesque Dartmoor. Visit the National Trust’s Parke, 3.5 miles away, where you can explore the historic estate, follow the Wray Valley cycle trail or walk beside the River Bovey. Plan a day out to the seaside at Torquay, 16 miles away, on the English Riviera.

A lovely, really comfortable weekend at Woodcutters Cottage which is a great little space. Scones were very much appreciated on arrival, as was access to the separate games room which our son thought was a highlight of our trip! Thank you.

Great countrvside location yes some small roads but that's what Devon is all about. No more alpacas as a recent change in ownership Freindly owner's great games room clean comfortable accommodation iust needs a little love in places. Fantastic scones

The driving around here is challenging with narrow lanes and lots of hills but that is what you have to do to enjoy Dartmoor. The holiday cottage is remote but if the school bus can make it and there's a pub even you can do it too! You have to take everything very slowly. A short journey takes twice as long as you expect with the A road single tracRead morek in places. But the scenery is amazing. Come and take the pace off your life and just chill. You can walk from the cottage and not drive anywhere! Hide

Lovely place and facilities close to various attraction but lots for families on site also with beautiful works. Accommodation has everything you need to eat and relax. Highly recommend the alpaca walk for families.

A wonderful little Cottage in a fabulous location - so incredibly peaceful! Ken and Sarah were excellent hosts, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pottery experience and walking Lulu and Maca, two of the Alpacas. The games room was an added bonus, which we made the most of. Woodcutter cottage was perfect for the weeks holiday. Clean and fresh when we arrived, with everything that was needed The dog paddock was a great extra and the provision of laundry and recycling facilities were very well arranged Everything was just right for a restful stay

Lovely location, set in a valley, ideal for nature lovers, we loved meeting the Alpaca's, and i enjoyed my afternoon throwing pots on tbe wheel and hand making clay pots, the games room was amazing, also lots to do and too visit in the area, Sarah and Kenneth were very welcoming, a very enjoyable holiday.

Lovely little place, in a really pretty valley. As the description says, no phone signal, but the WiFi was excellent (unlike the hotels where I have to stay for work!). Sarah was very friendly, and we had absolutely everything we needed while we were there. The location was great for everything we wanted to do in Devon, and the walks around the farRead morem (both on and off their land) were absolutely beautiful. Can't recommend highly enough! Hide

Amazing little lodge tucked away in the heart of dartmoor! Great stay cation for the both of us and our 2 little dogs! Sarah and Kenneth make you feel very welcome and they honestly can't do enough for you.

Lovely little wooden cottage in a delightful location. The owners were very friendly and kept good communication before and during our stay. There was a cream tea on arrival, including gluten free scones to accommodate dietary requirements. Lovely cottage. Super quiet. Great for young kids to be with the animals and the countryside. Dogs are welcomed and have a place just for them. The owners are lovely people and make guests feel really welcome. Pottery can be made and painted. Its the countryside how its meant to be. Such a wonderful place to stay. Peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is so pretty, we had fresh scones and clotted cream waiting for us on arrival. The log burner made the cottage so warm and cozy. Woodcutters Cottage is a little piece of peaceful bliss - highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good base point to stay at whilst exploring the south! The games room was such a treat, especially with the home cinema set up. There are plenty of beautiful walks nearby and it's a great location for a number of local beaches. We had a lovely stay at woodcutters cottage. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a great base to explore the local area.
