This property is a modern haven situated on the striking Plymouth Hoe, offering fantastic coastal views with a great central location for a city break. Looking across to the bay of Plymouth Sound, The Hoe is the natural heart of the city for both locals and visitors. A wealth of bars and eateries in this bustling location make for perfect evenings for the whole family.

This three-storey former vicarage has been thoroughly modernised and boasts a chic and stylish interior. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with feature windows is bright and contemporary, a theme that flows through the whole property. Two of the three bedrooms can be found on the first floor – a relaxing double and a cosy single along with the main bathroom. The final bedroom, a double with its own en-suite shower room, is located on the second floor. With high sloping ceilings, this tranquil double is light and full of character.

The prime location of this lovely holiday home means you don’t need to travel far to explore some of the highlights of Plymouth. The iconic Smeaton's Tower (Plymouth Hoe’s famous lighthouse) is less than 1 mile away in the centre of Hoe Park – perfect for a summers evening stroll. Slightly further afield but only 2 miles away from the property is the National Marine Aquarium – the largest in the UK. For a more cultural experience, the historic Barbican area of the city is just 1 mile away.

We had a short but lovely stay at Sea Captains Lodge. Very clean, good accommodation within and in an ideal situation. Close to the Hoe, Barbican, good restaurants, plus a nice quiet area. Added bonus a car park close by for additional cars. I would certainly recommend.

Lovely cottage. This was our forth stay at this cottage. Everything you need for a short stay away from home.

Big issue with heating. It is a lovely property. Brilliant location and spotlessly clean. Definitely good for summer stay but no winter

A lovely house, clean and well presented. A perfect place to stay and a 2 minute walk to Plymouth Hoe. We enjoyed our stay with 4 adults and a child. Thank you

The location is excellent, the parking for two vehicles is quite tight but we did manage by some clever manoeuvring. Could do with instructions for the top floor shower, as there were none, and the sofas are not very comfortable to sit in for an evening. Other than that, we would probably rent again, thank you

Would recommend this lovely house in a great location. Very comfortable bed on 2nd floor. Bath is quite high to get into if you have limited mobility so the wet room was perfect. Everything you need, would definitely stay again.

A good convenient base to visit the area and surprisingly quiet for a city location. Well equipped cottage bar the small dining table. Lovely views of the waterfront only a minute away.

Good holiday destination, close to the hoe water front, pubs, shops, cafes, doctors, parks, tennis courts, Barbican, beautiful walk, fabulous, all 5 mins away , probably needs a little updating in bathroom , can be a bit noisy at night with residents living back of property, but otherwise good stay,

Lovely well-equipped cottage in a very convenient location. We were staying there for 3 days with our (very tall) 16 year old son and there was plenty of space. Very helpful to have parking outside the house.
