Stockman's Rest is a charming cottage set within a quiet 34-acre farm in the heart of Devon, offering an idyllic getaway for a romantic break or an escape from life's everyday hustle and bustle. Here, you are ideally placed to explore Devon, just 5 miles from the market town of Great Torrington, but also within easy reach of the beaches and harbour towns of the Atlantic Coast.

There is both an economy of space and a generosity of facilities within this accommodation. A well-planned interior provides for a comfortable and relaxing lifestyle, with a lounge/diner where you can enjoy a cosy meal for two at the dining table, having prepared it in the well-equipped kitchen area. The inviting double bedroom features a TV/DVD player which you can watch from the bed - perfect for lazy mornings or late-night movies. Outside, you can enjoy morning coffee on the patio at the front of the property, and perhaps an evening BBQ on the lawn. There is also a dedicated, 10 acre dog walking field.

Westward Ho! (15 miles) has an expansive stretch of golden sands, where you can enjoy swimming, surfing, or walking along the beach. The adjacent Northam Burrows Country Park also offers an opportunity to explore the open spaces for its abundance of wildlife, or perhaps play a round of golf at the renowned Royal North Devon Golf Club. The wonderful RHS Rosemoor (6 miles) offers an opportunity for walking amongst lovingly tended gardens, and also is the venue for a number of family-based theatrical and musical productions throughout the summer months. The picturesque fishing villages of Clovelly (18 miles) and Appledore (15 miles) are well worth a visit.
