A striking barn conversion sleeping three guests, this property is perfectly placed for exploring some of the West Country’s loveliest coast and countryside. The spacious holiday home is set in tranquil rural surroundings, close to the borders of Devon, Dorset and Somerset, yet just 1 mile from the historic market town of Axminster. There are sandy beaches at picturesque Lyme Regis and the village of Charmouth, both within 7 miles, along with a wonderful range of country and coastal walks on the doorstep.

The wood-clad barn, one of an attractive complex of properties, is designed to take advantage of glorious views. Upstairs, the bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is filled with light from windows on both sides. Enjoy the scenic landscape from comfortable seating in the lounge area and at the pretty dining table. There is also a breakfast bar in the contemporary kitchen. The ground floor houses a sleek bathroom, and two delightful, light and airy, bedrooms. Both beautifully furnished, they comprise a king-size and a single. Outside, the shared garden has a pretty table and chairs where you can relax and admire the views.

Discover how Axminster’s carpets won worldwide fame at the town’s fascinating Heritage Centre and explore the historic Minster. There are shops, restaurants and a great choice of cafes, including the River Cottage Canteen. The coast path runs alongside the beach at pretty Seaton (6 miles), where you can also climb aboard the splendid Tramway. This quirky electric track runs three miles up the beautiful Axe Valley to Colyton. Hunt for fossils and walk along the famous Cobb at Lyme Regis on the magnificent Jurassic coast.
