Studded into the Devonshire countryside, this gorgeous little escape is charming in every way. Across the patchwork fields and over the gravel, this pretty stone cottage comes into sight. With a rural emerald backdrop, with only the odd deer for company, it’s an opportunity to really switch off from the rest of the world. When you’re not tucked up in the cosy cottage, you’re encouraged to explore the grounds - sit by the lake and enjoy walks through the trees in the fresh country air.
The interior is utterly stunning. A delectable palette of wooden floors, neutral-toned walls and detailing, and subtle coloured hints feature in every room, creating a clean and airy, yet completely cosy space to curl up after a day exploring your new surroundings. The thoughtful attention to detail and lashings of home-from-home comforts make this a truly relaxing base. Crisp white linen dresses the beds, wooden eaves grace the ceiling and through the windows there’s an emerald green backdrop - nature’s very own canvas. The charm continues outside with an enclosed shingle garden from which you can light the BBQ and dine alfresco with nothing but the sweet scent of wildflowers and the sound of birds flying above.
Soak up the peace and tranquillity of your immediate surroundings with some wonderful walks straight from the doorstep - you’ll discover a traditional pub just 2.5 miles from the cottage, ideal for when you fancy letting someone else do the cooking. Head a little further out and you’ll come to the cliff-side village of Clovelly - lost in time, you can enjoy traffic-free streets, quaint tea rooms, fishermen’s cottages and harbourside views.
