Situated on a working farm in rural Northwest Devon, this beautifully converted barn will enable you to switch off, relax and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside. With woodland walks, a picturesque millpond, a summerhouse and unbridled views, this property provides the ideal retreat in the heart of what is known as Ruby Country. Conveniently located close to the Devon/Cornwall border, you can explore the best of both counties, including the stunning coastline and South West Coast Path only 14 miles north.

Sympathetically renovated and tastefully decorated, everyone will feel at home in this one-storey property. The high-vaulted ceilings and exposed beams create light and space throughout, whilst the warm tones and wooden floors create a sense of warmth and comfort. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area has a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of seating at the table and comfortable chairs to retire to after a busy day exploring. The master bedroom is spacious and the twin bedroom can be made up to a king-size if necessary. Stepping outside, you can enjoy the enclosed patio area with garden furniture, BBQ and gorgeous views. Guests are also welcome to explore the large lawn, woodland and millpond too.

The coastline near here is understandably an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its dramatic cliffs, crashing waves and sandy beaches. In the seaside town of Bude (14 miles northwest), you’ll find beaches, a canal and a tidal pool. Or from Morwenstow (21 miles) enjoy a circular walk to the smallest, quirkiest National Trust property, Hawker’s Hut. Dartmoor National Park is also easily accessible, with Lydford Gorge 20 miles away. For the kids, why not try family-run, award-winning theme park The Milky Way (20 miles).

This lovely property provided a wonderful holiday experience. It had everything we needed and was well equipped. Quiet, peaceful setting surrounded by farmland. Set back far enough not to hear any traffic. Use of outside space, a lawn to play any outdoor games, a football goal, and a patio area with table and chairs, and a parking space right outside the door.

Very clean, pleasant property set in a great rural location with lots of wildlife to view and around 25 minutes drive from Bude. Friendly family owners that went out of their way to make a very enjoyable holiday. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Millpond Stables. The owners were really accommodating and we arrived to lovely welcome goodies. We stayed for just under 2 weeks as we had to head back earlier and I can honestly say its the most relaxing holiday Ive had. Its such a peaceful location and there are plenty of places to visit within a half an hour drive. WouldRead more absolutely recommend Millpond Stables and hope to return. Hide

Lovely holiday home perfect for our family the children really enjoyed the outside space and the inside was great and had everything we needed. The hosts let us use their travel cot and highchair which saved us a great deal of room in the car!

A very clean and really comfortable barn conversion . Extremely quiet and peaceful , with a lovely walk around the pond . Plenty of wildlife to be spotted from the living area ( birds and rabbits !! ) . The happy duck picture made us smile .

One of the best equipped kitchens we have ever used in holiday accommodation. The location was quiet and peaceful but close enough to all the places of interest for us to visit. The cottage was clean, beds comfortable, ample storage for clothes, large fridge/freezer which meant we only had to shop once.
