A handsome detached farmhouse, this property offers a fantastic blend of traditional style and contemporary fittings, making it an attractive and comfortable place to stay. It may accommodate ten guests, but there is always a quiet spot to escape to, as in addition to the lounge there is also a cosy reading room, a bright sun room, and a children’s playroom with a selection of toys. There is even more space to relax outside, where guests will find a patio seating area overlooking the rest of the garden and the stream which runs through it.

Grab your fishing nets and enjoy some of the country’s best rockpools at Wembury beach just 1.5 miles from this farmhouse property, popping in afterwards to the marine life centre to learn more about the creatures you’ve spotted. After all that sea air, you’ll be in need of refreshment and the cafe in the village serves splendid homemade cakes, or perhaps stay for dinner and drinks at the welcoming village pub. Looking further afield there is plenty to see and do in the local area, with historic Plymouth just 6.5 miles away and Agatha Christie’s much-loved Burgh Island situated 15 miles around the coast.

Wonderful cottage, lots of room for all 8 of us, 5 adults and 3 children, to be really comfortable and be able to do our own thing when we wanted. Great selection of toys in the toy room, even though the kids brought a van full! Ideal base for exploring all the beaches and the moors. Fantastic week had by all. Would highly recommend

Beautiful farmhouse in tranquil surroundings. A superb family holiday for 6 adults, 3 children and one dog. Ages ranged from 3 to 82. Would definitely recommend.

Superb spacious farmhouse in an idyllic location. Great for three generations and 2 dogs. We loved all the facilities and communal eating in the kitchen worked well for us. Close to goi beaches, Bigbury on Sea being the firm favourite, and some lovely coastal walks. Pubs in the area are also close by, The Mussell Inn food is excellent, and the ShipRead more Inn at Noss Mayo is in a superb location. We had an issue which was attended to quickly by the lovely caretaker, Fiona & handyman. Highly recommend Hide

Accommodation was perfect for us , several families with ages from 91 to 3 .Plenty of space for all of us and kitchen very well equipped but an air fryer would have been useful .

The farmhouse is very well-equipped, comfortable, warm and quiet. Our family group really enjoyed Easter week. Although the weather was windy and showery we went out and about so were grateful to come back to a warm, comfortable house. Thank you for a very good holiday week.

We had a fabulous holiday 4 generations having Christmas together for the first time in years. So much space to explore and enjoy. The decor needs a bit of work here and there but it is the end of the year so to be expected. The local pub and beach are fantastic

What a lovely house for a large family! We were a group of two grandparents, two sets of parents, four children and two dogs so it was wonderful to have so much space, especially downstairs. The weather was disappointing so having plenty of inside space was important. Garden was great as well, perfect for games - with dogs and children! Lovely comfy farmhouse nestled in a spectacular valley and close to Wembury Beach Bovisands beaches and fabulous pub with delicious seafood Mussel Inn.
