This superbly renovated property in Appledore is a great base for a holiday in beautiful North Devon. Guests can either take a day-trip or simply enjoy what Appledore has to offer.
One of Appledore’s oldest properties, this charming cottage has been lovingly updated to offer a delightful blend of period features and contemporary flair. Warm up beside the roaring wood burner, cook up a storm in the bespoke kitchen, dine alfresco in the garden or enjoy a lazy morning in bed beneath exposed beams. If you can drag yourselves away, stroll the cobbled streets of Appledore, browsing its quaint cafes, galleries and shops along the way.
Prepare delicious family meals in the bespoke galley kitchen, which, together with the sunny dining room next door, opens onto the garden. For those rainy afternoons and chilly evenings, gather around the wood burner that sits within a large inglenook fireplace in the lounge to enjoy a board game or film. When the sun is shining, head outside to make the most of the large walled garden, which includes a sunny dining spot, lawn area and romantic courtyard.
Located at the meeting point between the rivers Torridge and Taw, Appledore is a picturesque fishing village with an extensive maritime history. Quaint fisherman’s cottages line narrow streets and charming independent shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries offer plenty of choice for enjoying a bite to eat or finding mementoes to take home.
