Docton Farm is a lavish retreat, and one of three high-end barn conversions located on 500 acres of farmland, complete with a decked patio area and BBQ for long summer afternoons. Situated close to the Hartland Heritage Coasts on the Devon/Cornwall border, you’ll have easy access to North Devon’s beaches, popular tourist attractions and a wealth of natural beauty.
Intricately converted with quirky pitched ceilings upstairs, exposed beams and stonework to mirror the exterior, comfort and authenticity is the name of the game at Docton Farm. No detail has been overlooked: skylights in all the bedrooms and large windows in the kitchen and living room allow for plenty of natural light, while the wood burner provides the perfect spot to gather the family for crumpets and tea after a blustery coastal walk. Logs are available and charged at £5 per basket.
The Hartland area is home to many sites of incredible natural beauty, and you’re right in among it all here. The best way to explore it is with a walk along the South West Coast Path, for stunning sea views, wildlife and fascinating geology. 7 miles northeast are the cobblestone streets in the village of Clovelly, great for chips by the sea or to see the famous working donkeys. Visit The Milky Way Amusement Park (6.5 miles) for a fun-filled family day out, or for sunbathing, surfing and seaside arcades, it’s only a 15-mile trip to Westward Ho!. Closer to home, the historic village of Hartland offers local conveniences, pubs and village charm only 2.5 miles away.
