Plucked straight from a fairytale, this beautiful terraced cottage is found in the centre of the ancient fishing village of Appledore. Surrounded by idyllic scenery, Dolphin Cottage ensures a tranquil stay. Appledore Quay (within 200 metres) is a must-visit; it comes to life in summer with its blooming flowers, pretty pastel houses and many shops, pubs, galleries and restaurants.

Decorated with a tasteful and contemporary style, this nautical themed cottage is complete with comfortable furniture and technology including Wi-Fi and Freeview TV to help you feel at home. Whether you visit in summer or winter, the wood burner is always popular on chilly evenings. A fully equipped kitchen and a choice to dine either inside or out on the enclosed decked courtyard means eating-in has never been easier, but if a break from the kitchen is desired, wander down to the quay and pick up some highly regarded fish and chips. Upstairs there is a beautiful double bedroom with a feature fireplace and wrought-iron bedstead, and a light and airy twin bedroom too.

Explore some of North Devon’s best beaches including Croyde and Woolacombe, accessed via a 20-mile scenic drive either in the car or by bus. For keen walkers, take the South West Coast Path to Instow to grab a famous Hockings Ice Cream. For an adventure closer to home, why not visit the North Devon Maritime Museum to discover the rich shipbuilding and seafaring history of the area. Attractions such as The BIG Sheep or Arlington Court are also brilliant days out for the whole family.

A well equipped and comfortable cottage. Ideally situated in Appledore. Suggest paying for a weeks pass at the car park as the quay is very busy. Lovely meal at the Royal George and a good breakfast at the Coffee cabin.

Clean and well equipped cottage. Very handy for quay side and all eating places. It was very busy when we arrived so just bought a weekly car park ticket . Seagate for Sunday lunch is very good.

Well positioned cottage near the quay, shops, bakery and fish n chip shop. The cottage is cosy with steep stairs to the large front bedroom and twin room, good for a short stay at the price.

The on-street parking can prove a bit of a hassle, especially when moving luggage to and from the property but otherwise the location is convenient and near to Appledores quayside. The cottage itself is small and has a steep, slightly awkward staircase but otherwise was quiet, comfortable and adequate for two people.

We have stayed in many cottages in Appledore, but Dolphin Cottage is our new favourite. It's spacious and very well equipped, and the location is perfect. We will definitely stay again.

Great to find a pet friendly rental in such a great location. Good size cottage, didn't feel cramped at all for 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. Well equipped kitchen, easy to cook in the house, and also a great selection of places to eat out within minutes of the house. This is a delightful small fishermans cottage location is perfect we were here in August and had no problem finding a road side spot to park. You do have take everything down a small alley but its not far and no problem at all. We loved the cottage itself with its small private courtyard ideal for the dog. You are so close to the quay we went thereRead more to sit. Highly recommend Market St. Cafe delicious lunches. The Champ pub you can take your fish n chips in to eat with a pint.
