There is family fun aplenty at this inviting cottage, located on a working farm in the heart of rural North Devon. Delightfully spacious accommodation with a large enclosed garden make it easy for you to kick back, relax and soak to the sounds of nature while the kids run free. Tea shops, markets, honey farms, adventure parks, breathtaking countryside with an abundance of walks and trails, and the sea not far beyond, your only concern will be how to squeeze everything in!
On entering the large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner via external stairs, you’re hit with a wonderful sense of space from the simple layout and vaulted ceiling. This living area simply exudes country charm. Head downstairs to the bathroom and three airy bedrooms, each of which has French doors that open out on to the extensive private garden. Step out from your bedroom to enjoy a morning cuppa, savouring the peace and tranquillity before the day begins. Wander around the farm itself and even meet the resident horses, with supervision from the owner, or take the kids to the shared children’s playground so they can tire themselves out while you relax.
This rural location may feel a million miles from anywhere, but within 3 miles you have the small market town of South Molton. Once a thriving wool town, the Thursday market still attracts plenty of trade. Here you’ll find tea shops, pubs, antique shops and art galleries. Watch a beekeeping demonstration and sample local honey from one of the 1500 hives dotted around the region at Quince Honey Farm (5 miles). The edge of Exmoor National Park is just 9 miles away with its superb rugged scenery and wildlife including Exmoor ponies, wild red deer and buzzard hawks.
