With a unique shabby-chic feel and stunning sea views, this traditional fisherman’s cottage offers a retreat like no other. It lies close to Brixham’s famous harbour on the beautiful English Riviera, where you’ll find yourself within easy reach of the south coast’s must-visit towns and attractions. Sleeping five guests in comfort, and with the town’s amenities less than 1 mile away, it’s a great spot for families young and old.
Whether you’re gazing through the windows in the living area are or waking up in one of the spacious bedrooms, you’re never far from views of the bay here. The three-storey house is light and airy throughout, although the wood burner in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner gives the room a lovely cosy feel, even in the depths of winter. There are even films and family games to keep you entertained in the evenings, making it feel like a real home-from-home.
Brixham itself is great for exploring. You’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as several beaches, including the peaceful spots at St Mary’s Bay (1.5 miles) and Fishcombe Cove (less than 1 mile). Paignton is 5.5 miles from the cottage; here you’ll find a popular zoo that makes for a great family day out. Torquay is also close by (8.5 miles) and is easily reached by car or ferry.
