Escape to the serenity of the English Riviera at this charming retreat, overlooking one of the most picturesque towns in South Devon. Situated in the owner’s grounds but assuring guests privacy, the cottage is made for romantic evenings relaxing under bright evening stars, a Balinese-style canopy offering shelter from the cool night air.
The interior of this coastal property has a cosy inviting ambience, with both the living space and bedroom offering a warm colour palette of pinks and creams. Ceiling spotlights bring brightness to the lower floor along with large windows overlooking the terrace and the sparkling sea beyond. Whether spending a cosy day indoors or enjoying the views over the owner’s manicured grounds, you’ll feel relaxed and ready to discover the many things on offer in the area.
Should you be tempted to venture out, head down to the shops, cafes and restaurants of Paignton (2 miles) where you can try out some of the local seafood. It is also home to a beautiful beach as well as a pier, promenade and beautiful parks. Further afield, there is a huge selection of beaches and romantic coves to discover along the coast and for a tranquil afternoon, Agatha Christie’s former house, Greenway, now a National Trust property, is a welcome escape. Have a look around the atmospheric house and end the day by sampling a traditional Devon cream tea in the Barn Cafe.
