Set in a peaceful valley between Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills, this stylish lodge is close to the market town of Tiverton (6 miles) where you can hire a barge and steer your way to happiness along the Great Western Canal. Ideal for friends or families, there are three neighbouring lodges on-site which can also be booked for your stay. As the site is fully dog-friendly, two pup pals can also join you to explore acres of woodland walks and sparkling lakeside ambles.

Stressful lifestyles will soon melt away as you arrive at this lakeside lodge and settle into the bright and stylish open-plan interiors, with en-suite bedrooms, elegant touches, and practical creature comforts. Enjoy your morning coffee in the dining area where sunlight floods in through the floor-to-ceiling doors, or relax on the garden patio and enjoy the views. After a day out in the countryside, throw your muddy shoes into the utility room and cosy up on the squishy sofas by the toasty woodburner or soak away your cares in the bubbling hot tub. There are a handy shop and two pubs nearby (2 miles) plus off-road parking for two cars.

Try coarse fishing on-site. Hike the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (7 miles), or enjoy the wild beauty of Exmoor (14.5 miles) and Dartmoor (31miles) National Parks. Explore the world-renowned Jurassic coastline, including the pretty seaside resorts of Branscombe (27 miles), Sidmouth (30.5 miles) and Lyme Regis (32 miles). And delve into history in the market town of Cullompton (7 miles), the parkland of Knighthayes Court (7 miles) and the cathedral city of Exeter (25 miles).

Ash Lodge is the perfect get-away. Beautiful surroundings, well equipped with everything you could need. 3 ensuite rooms - each has amazing views. We loved the hot tub and the fishing lake. The lodge location felt fairly private, superb views, excellent layout, bedrooms good size beautiful views, bathrooms well equipped except poor mirror placement in ours had to bend down to view. The outside patio great and jacuzzi was appreciated. Old wooden equipment let down and no throws for couches yet advertised as provided. Village Stamford PRead moreeverell was not a walkway. These are great lodges, really spacious bedrooms all with own bathrooms, very modern. Views are fabulous across the lake if you have a fisherman in your group they will not be disappointed. We went to celebrate a birthday so made our own entertainment, hot tub was great used a few times, had 3 dogs with us lots of grass for them to enjoy.

Well equipped lodge with great views. The lodge is very well served by the kitchen equipment , dining table and sofas . Each bedroom was very nice with quality beds and top spec en-suite bathrooms. Hot tub was a lovely bonus with a view over the lake and the Williow tree

We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was high spec, comfortable and clean with commanding views across a nearby lake. The tranquil setting was ideal. We have just had a lovely week at West Pitt Lodge and lakes. So much so we have booked another week for next year. The Lodge was just perfect, home from home. Fishing was good too! Nothing to fault at all. 20 minutes' walk to the local pub, The Globe and local Spar, with great directions from the owners, on the in-house information. The lodge is reRead moremote, with single lane tracks all round. So just perfect for that relaxing away from it all holiday. WIFI was good. Hide
