This former coach house is the ideal place for a romantic retreat on the North Devon coast. Located in the village of Northam and within a mile of Westward Ho! where you’ll find golden sand, clean surf and a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants. After a busy day exploring, you can sink into the sofa and enjoy the sea views across Bideford Bay or immerse yourself in the hot tub in your private courtyard with a glass of your favourite tipple. Relaxing couldn’t be easier!

With its neutral tones, clean lines and stylish décor, this property is cool and contemporary whilst remaining comfortable and homely. The reverse-layout living allows guests to appreciate the far-reaching sea views from the lounge at the same time as snuggling in front of the wood burner effect electric heater. Downstairs, the well-equipped kitchen, including Tassimo coffee machine, is the perfect place to prepare meals before retreating to the delightful dining area or taking it outside to the private courtyard where a small table and chairs provides a great place to enjoy morning coffee or a light meal. The king-size bedroom is spacious and looks out on to the private courtyard.

Whether you’re the relaxing type or the adventurous type, North Devon has lots on offer. From Westward Ho! you can join the South West Coast Path and discover hidden coves along the rugged coastline or why not hire a bike from historic town Bideford (3 miles) and cycle the Tarka Trail to Instow? RHS Rosemoor (10.5 miles) is the perfect place for a gentle stroll or the picturesque village of Clovelly (13 miles), nestled into the cliff, provides an opportunity for an uphill walk.

Perfect location to explore surrounding area. Has everything needed for a week stay. Robes and towels for hot tube was thoughtful. Building work close by was not an issue.

Sea Sanctuary. Wow An amazing peaceful place with everything you could need and somethings you didnt even know you needed. Instructions for everything including the hob are all provided should you take the time to find them. We were here for a 50th birthday get away and it was fantastic.. far enough away from the noise not to far that you cant enjoRead morey it. The beach and surrounding areas are ideal for the dogs and lots of long walks. Two very tired beagles.. Would definitely stay here again. Hide

On first arrival all looked well. We discovered that the refridgerater need "mopping out" ( this needed to be done daily as the temp control seemed not to be working) the blinds in tthe bedroom where damaged. on trying to contact owner using telephone number in "instructioons" found it to be an un-recognised number. so contacted agency. The bathrooRead morem radiator is in need of "repainting" the can opener was rather stiff and needed cleaning, I oiled the working parts. Not enough carracters left. Hide

Perfect for the 2 of us and the pooch, hot tub definately a must have for relaxing after long long walks. Kitchen was more than well equipped for our needs.. Everything was more or less within walking distance. Morrisons store is only 10 mins away by car..We all had a brilliant time.

Absolutely beautiful, cute little cottage. The owners have provided everything you need to make it a comfortable stay. Lovely touches like Prosecco on arrival, and a nice little courtyard with a hot tub. Good base for exploring the area with our dog. Quiet and peaceful just a little unfortunate that a housing development is underway and so close. TRead morehis didnt cause us any inconvenience though as we were only there for a long weekend and we still had views of the burrows and the sea. We loved it. Hide

This is a clean well presented property. It's upside down with. Kit diner bedroom and ensuite downstairs and a lounge with a view of the sea upstairs. There is building work going on close to the property but it was pretty unobtrusive although visible and may become more of a problem as work moves closer. Very comfortable bed. Lovely, clean and comfortable (the bed is so comfy I didnt want to get up!) well presented. The amenities arent too far but the road is quite busy if youre walking in the dark. Quiet area apart from the building site behind the property. There were only 3 people on site during the week though so noise was at a minimum.

We wanted somewhere where we could park up and not have to drive anywhere and be able to walk our Springer Spaniel. Sea Sanctuary is lovely, well equipped and just right for two and a dog. We really enjoyed our stay at sea sanctuary, was very clean and was left to it by the owners, nice location and area with plenty of local walks, two things that need addressing, the hot tub was lovely but a hand rail fixed to the wall would help with the ease of getting in and out, we couldnt get the microwave combi oven to work , having the instruRead morections would have helped greatly, overall though we had a great time and would recommend, definitely would stay here again. Great place with everything you needed. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. However, we did feel the hot tub was unusable due to the awkwardness of getting in due to the steps not fitting down the side of the hot tub, so you have to just use a small corner of the top step and hold on to the drainpipe. We also found the combi oven too complicated Read moreto use and it ruined food, a standard oven would have meant we wouldnt have to eat out all week, both things would stop us returning Im afraid. Superb cottage/coach house in fabulous location - 10 minutes walk to Westward Ho!/5 minutes to Northam. Very comfortable throughout (the bed is awesome!). We were out and about most of the time so didnt use the hot tub.
