Located within the picture postcard village of Croyde, immerse yourself in coastal living with a stay at this unique barn conversion. Surrounded by the best of beaches in England, you will be spoilt for choice here, while keen walkers and sightseers will also be in their element. For larger groups, the separate annexe with a studio lounge/sleeping area and the en-suite wet room is a great retreat for independent teenagers or those who just want a little more privacy.
The Grade II-listed barn has an upscale contemporary yet relaxed feel, with exposed beams and a feature fireplace providing that subtle nod to the building’s former self. The snug/sitting room even has some of the workings of the original cider press, and there’s also a wood burner which is ideal for cooler evenings or winter weekend breaks. On the terrace, enjoy your morning coffee or an al fresco meal overlooking the courtyard and garden, or even fire up the BBQ for a big family dinner in the sun.
Try a wide range of watersports during your stay, with plenty on offer on Croyde’s shores. Or venture slightly further afield and enjoy the sand, sea and surf at Woolacombe (4.5 miles), Saunton (3 miles), or Putsborough (1 mile). Walkers will enjoy direct access onto the South West Coast Path from the village, which takes you across the spectacular headland to Baggy Point (1 mile). Exmoor National Park is also close by (16 miles), offering more walking routes and even more incredible views. It’s not all coast and open spaces though; if its browsing and shopping you're after, visit Barnstaple (10.5 miles) with its market and high street shops.
