Make your escape to this colourful cottage nestled in Devon's delightful Appledore. Up to four guests, plus two happy hounds are welcome at the two-bedroom, period property, which is tucked away in a tranquil quarter of the picturesque coastal village. Spend days out on beautiful beaches, enjoy scenic walks and while away your holiday time pottering in interesting shops and dining out.

Our second visit to this cottage and enjoyed our stay. There is plenty of room for a party of 4 and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. A sunny back yard with views of the estuary. Centrally located which is ideal but does have a steep street to climb and steep stairs inside.

Lovely cottage, comfortable, clean, quiet, excellent location, Appledore is a stunning place, good pubs, good food places, excellent ferry across the water, nice walking options to Westward Ho!, regular bus service. The kitchen is huge with plenty of equipment, I did feel the cottage could supply basics like tea, coffee, only supplying 2 dishwasherRead more tablets for the week feels a little tight, you are on holiday after all. Lovely property. Very clean, centrally located within Appledore - parking not a problem as there is a local car park at the bottom of the road - we bought a 7 day parking ticket for 30 or you can pay 10 per day. Would recommend easily transportable luggage if you do have to park in car park on arrival or departure (although we just pulled up outsidRead moree the house, blocking the road for 5 mins whilst we quickly unloaded) Good dog walk Northam Burrows 5 min drive away - free parking & beach access. We stayed here 2 years ago so got exactly what we expected. An excellent base to stay with our 2 elderly Jack Russell's. My only comment on location is that the cottage is at the top of a veriy steep hill which maybe it would be helpful to stress in marketing material. I imagine some might struggle to walk up from the quayside.

We found the cottage easily as the directions given were very good. The small sitting room was fine for all of us and we appreciated the shutters which gave us privacy from people passing on the footpath outside. Beautiful cottage. Spotlessly clean. The only negative would be the garden. If you love to sit outside this isn't the cottage for you. If you struggle walking and climbing steep stairs (definitely a climb) this isn't for you. Luckily this wasn't a problem for us. I think if the garden was designed it would be an amazing stay. Nice little house in a lovely village. Great location for accessing the rest of North Devon. The lounge was cosy and the kitchen was nicely equipped. Stairs quite steep.
