This attractive, first-floor annexe apartment boasts impressive, far-reaching country views making it an ideal rural retreat for three. The property enjoys a peaceful location tucked within rolling countryside yet is still close to some of the area’s much-loved beaches and attractions giving you the best of both worlds. Explore the hills from right on the doorstep before relaxing in the roll-top bath or watching the sun melt into the hills from the window seat.

The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner benefits from large windows, making it beautifully sunny and giving it a sense of peace and tranquillity. The stylish kitchen area is compact but perfectly organised and a porthole window above the sink adds a nautical feel. The lounge area has a splash of blue which adds colour to the otherwise neutral palette. Deep sofas provide an optimum snuggle space for a bit of relaxation after a day exploring the hills or local area. The bedroom boasts a double and pull-out bed giving the property versatility for an extra person and access to a meadow that contains a pond with wildlife, a beautiful setting for an afternoon stroll.

Access to the beach is easy from this property as the pretty seaside town of Sidmouth is just 2 miles away and offers two sandy beaches and a range of shops, cafes and restaurants. The city of Exeter is only 12.6 miles away with plenty of history, dating back to the Roman times, and a multitude of shops and restaurants to satisfy any palette. In contrast, the theme park Crealy Adventure Park and Resort (6.5 miles away) is ideal for a family-friendly day out.

A clean spacious apartment, really quiet and peaceful, lots of nice walks on the doorstep and plenty to do farther afield. There are three pubs nearby, although each required a roughly 30 min walk off-road (we were blessed with blazing July sunshine and light evenings, so this wasn't a problem). Hosts friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

When we reached our destination would could not believe what a beautiful location it was in. The owners where for welcoming and helpful. They have also created a wonderful nature reserve next to the property that you are allowed to walk around and just site and watch the world go bye. Loved our week there and would definitely go back.

The views from the cottage were superb including the sunsets, and the garden and surroundings were lovely, also very peaceful and relaxing. And there's no need to drive too far to find somewhere interesting.

Lovely appartment with beautiful gardens and stunning views. Owners were very welcoming and hospitable. There are some lovely places to visit and places to eat within a 2-3 mile radius. You do need a car. Accessing places on foot is difficult (quite dangerous in parts) owing to the roads being extremely narrow (and fast!) and there being no pavemenRead morets. At some points you don't have enough grass verge to tuck your feet in from traffic. Be prepared to drive. Parking charges are reasonable. Hide

Absolutely wonderful views. Lovely watching the birds and rabbits in the garden. The surrounding area is very pretty. There were a lot of nasty potholes in the roads. Visited the Donkey sanctuary, well worth a visit. Went to the RSPB reserve hoping to see a Dartford warbler, no luck, but still an interesting place.
