Fantastic accommodation, light and airy. Really well equipped throughout. Bed very comfortable, slept like a log. Gorgeous mature trees and shrubs in the garden, lovely. Weather let us down but that's nobody's fault.

Fantastic design and layout. Very comfortable with everything provided. Great location. Care needed on some local roads. We'd like to see the garden made more secure. We had 2 inquisitive dogs which caused a few headaches; they had to be kept on leads so they wouldn't wander off. A solid front gate and better fencing around the stream/bushes and adRead morejoining property would be great. It would allow the dogs to roam the garden free as they do back home. My family and I spent a long weekend at Forda Lodge. Forda Lodge is a lovely property. Husband who is disabled found bed and furnishings extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the peaceful location but also had the benefits of only a 10 minute walk to amenities in the village.

Croyde is lovely and it was great to explore the surrounding area. The property is in a secluded spot accessed by narrow country lanes. Whilst it may be good value for the area it fell short in a number of areas that could have made it great. The property needed a good dust and the garden was quite overgrown. It is also lacking in some of the basicRead mores - wine glasses, cooking utensils, very small dining table that made it feel more 3* unfortunately. Hide

Fabulous place to stay. Spotlessly clean, large bedrooms and very peaceful. A 20 minute walk into Croyde village and a 20 minute walk to Georgeham which had two terrific pubs. Throughly recommend Fords Lodge as a base for exploring the coast and surrounding area.

Glad we chose Forda Lodge, loved the spacious interior all on one level, comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. Peaceful setting too if only wed had kinder weather! Only thing Id say is our small spaniel was able to easily get under the fence to the neighbouring property, especially given there was the temptation of pheasants. So a bit of meshRead more fencing along the bottom would quite easily resolve that. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Forda Lodge. The property was just as described although if you dont like narrow, winding roads then this might not be for you but I think its pretty typical of Devon in general. The host left lots of goodies which was a wonderful surprise, especially the wine which went down a treat.
