Step inside the spacious hallway and kick off muddy boots after a day's hike on Exmoor. With everything on one level, and all rooms leading from the hallways, the layout is ideal for busy families who need to spread out and enjoy the space. The open-plan living, kitchen, and dining space is the heart of the home with cool contemporary style, cosy seating and entertainment including a SmartTV and DVD, plus a Bluetooth soundbar. Grown-ups will love the stylish king-size bedroom and family bathroom with underfloor heating, while children can enjoy the fun of their own triple bunk room where they can choose from a double bed to the single above. When morning arrives, open the patio doors and enjoy the large enclosed shared lawned garden, which has picnic benches; there's also shared on-site facilities which include a tennis court, and a games room with a football table, pool table and darts board.

Build sandcastles along the pristine sands of Woolacombe (5 miles), Saunton (7.5 miles) and Croyde (8 miles). Amble the South West Coast Path or hike the craggy ridges of Exmoor National Park (8.5 miles). Hop aboard the delightful Victorian-invented funicular cliff railway at Lynton and Lynmouth (17 miles). Take history buffs to Watermouth Castle (6 miles) or Lee Abbey (16.5 miles). Children will love Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park with its animatronic dinosaurs, plus live meerkats, primates, wolves and many other interesting creatures (7.5 miles). Or you can discover unique art galleries and eateries in Barnstaple (10 miles).

Well equipped cottage with everything we needed for the stay. Dog friendly and our pooch had a fab time. Woolacombe beach was a great beach for body boarding and surfing. Cottage was ready early, excellent equipment and welcome basket. Young kids loved their room and we were close to the games room. Good space to walk the dogs on-site. Lovely outlook from our lounge window. We were warm and cosy despite rainy February waether.

Lovely accommodation with everything you need. Great if you take a dog with you, all on one level and doors open straight in to a garden. Location perfect and very friendly and helpful owners

If You are looking for a quiet place with the best equipment and perfect retreat after a days walking or having been a beach bum then Primrose is the cottage for you Ive not stayed in better.

Primrose Cottage was clean, warm and comfortable, plenty of room for us (2 adults and dog). Plenty of nice walks in area, we made good use of the ordnance survey maps that were available. We found that we did have to drive out to find walks, but this wasn't a problem. Using map discovered a nice circular walk a short drive away with a free carpark!Read more starts from Lee Bridge carpark down a wooded valley to Lee village and bay.
