Situated among breathtaking scenery just 1 mile from Welcombe Mouth Beach, this stunning property promises a truly indulgent escape for up to 18 guests. Stylish yet full of character, this charming delightful holiday let is an opportunity to embrace Devon and Cornwall life with a luxurious base to return to. Take long walks along the South West Coast Path from Sandymouth Bay (11 miles), or soak in the private hot tub or go swimming in your own heated outdoor pool.

Whether you’re having a lie-in in one of the coastal-themed bedrooms or you’re spending an evening at the local pub (1 mile), everyone will find their own way to relax here. The interiors harness the grandeur of exposed wood beams and rich, elegant colours to bring together a fantastic blend of the traditional and the contemporary. Rustic beams and exposed brick in the lounge/diner are paired with industrial-style touches that create a unique and trendy look, while comfortable seating and a warming open fire in the lounge makes it the perfect spot to pick a book from the shelves and get lost in another world. Everyone will find their favourite corner in this property and find it hard to say goodbye at the end of their holiday.

Take a trip to the cobbled streets of Clovelly (10 miles) and feel like you’re stepping back in time. Widemouth Bay (16 miles) is a stunning beach that everyone will love, while Bude’s sea pool (13.5 miles) is a must-visit. Head into Bideford (18 miles) for shops, pubs and restaurants or take a boat trip from here to wildlife-rich Lundy Island where you may be lucky enough to see puffins, seals and even dolphins.

  • 8 bedrooms - 1 super-king with additional single day bed, 4 doubles, 1 twin, 1 triple single room and 1 bunk bedroom (suitable for children only)
  • 1 en-suite Jack-and-Jill bathroom, 1 shower room, 1 bathroom, 1 roll-top bath in bedroom, 1 en-suite shower room, 1 en-suite bathroom and 2 separate WC's
  • Electric Range oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and two dishwashers
  • Utility room with additional fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer
  • 1 wood burner and 1 open-fire (first baskets of logs included
  • Heated outdoor pool - During the winter months of October - March the pool will now, with the aid of our new cover, be available for use. During this time it may not achieve particularly warm temperatures. Between November and March it may be unheated as Heated only by an Air-source Heat Pump and Solar panels. As such we advise Winter usage may only appeal to hardy cold water dippers or wetsuit wearers. Guests booking within this low season period will be asked prior to arrival if they wish to use the pool, so it can be prepared and sanitised for their stay if preferred

Fabulous place! Had everything we needed, whatever the weather. Great location for visiting other places around the area. The honey cake and local Gin and tonic were a lovely surprise on arrival. Perfect place for a large family to be able to be together but not on top of each other. To relax, laugh and play.

We had an amazing stay at Welcombe cottage for my mums 70th birthday, the house itself is out of this world, and decor is stunning, on top of that we had the swimming pool, hot tub & games room to use and all had so much fun during the stay. Great week away, House was perfect on arrival and everything you need is avaliable. Pool and hottub both warm and clean, pool cover also easy to use with the videos provided. We stayed in this beautiful cottage with other family members to celebrate 6 BIG birthdays and a wedding Anniversary and there was plenty of space for the 12 adults and 5 children who ranged between 2 and a half to 6 years old. A beautiful cottage. We were 3 generations with 9 grandchildren aged between 4/15years and they were entertained the whole time between the swimming pool, games room and they loved the secret room. Kitchen very well equipped to cater for 17 of us. Lovely memories made.

Stunning cottage, beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail.. The pool was a good temperature and the hot tub was a huge hit.. comfy beds and the snug had gorgeous sofas the only thing we found was watching tv wasnt pleasant as the seating was hard and only a few seats, as a big family we would of liked go have had a movie night. A super space for family and friends with its sociably large kitchen diner, and separate lounge areas. Plenty of pots and pans and tableware for home cooking for shared meals.
