Situated on a working farm surrounded by beautiful fields, this property promises a peaceful escape for couples. Bright and airy with contemporary decor, this single-level barn conversion is an opportunity to enjoy a holiday in style with plenty of things to see and do just a few miles away. Damien Hirst’s famous Verity is only 8.5 miles away in Ilfracombe, while pretty Saunton Sands is just 7 miles away and is backed by Braunton Burrows, the UK’s largest dune system.

Whether you’re cooking up a storm in the trendy kitchen area or indulging in the private hot tub while the BBQ sizzles away, you’ll find your own way to wind down here. The vaulted ceiling and beams in the open-plan living area make it a cosy place to enjoy your favourite film on the Smart TV, the wood burner lit for a quiet night in. The double bedroom promotes a tranquil night’s sleep; wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day, sipping your morning cuppa from the dining table and taking in the view before heading out to explore.

Woolacombe (11 miles) boasts a 3-mile long sandy beach that’s home to Woolacome Dunes parkrun every Saturday morning; the 5k course is one of the toughest in the country. If running’s not for you, take a gentle stroll along the South West Coast Path that you can follow 4.5 miles to Baggy Point if you fancy a challenge. We enjoyed our stay, love how rural it is and everything is on the one level however could be a little clearer and maintained to a higher level, the bed is very uncomfortable and could do with a new mattress .

everything was excellent but there is a bit of a tight turn and steep access to the barn itself. You cannot access the enclosed garden from the cottage - its at the back of the property. there is no immediate dog walk from the door which wasnt a problem for us as we were out all day

A lovely little converted barn in a quiet location, perfect for relaxing in peace. Secure garden which was great for the dogs. Hot tub with a lovely view, although parts of the hot tub kept falling off, it seems to need some maintenance. The accommodation is basic but has everything you need. It does need some TLC, it looks very tierd and we found Read morethe mattress very uncomfortable, we left with achy backs due to the lack of support. More towels would be ideal too as we had 1 each for a week. Hide

A lovely quiet location with good access for croyde/woolacombe etc. Good WiFi, decent kitchen, comfy sofa. Couple of minor issues with the hot tub but nothing that spoilt the stay.

We had an amazing long weekend at the barn. Everything is clean and you have all the things that you require made available to you. The owner even came to say hello with a box of fresh eggs collected from their chickens that roam their garden. A super little cottage with a fully appointed kitchen. The hot tub was fantastic and even better when we sat in it during the squally wind and rain! A tight steep driveway up to the cottage was difficult to negotiate with a car load. A note for dog owners - there are 3 farm dogs that live outside in the farmyard that lead to the cottage. We had a really nice stay here, a beautiful farm and a beautiful barn. The hot tub was fab and the place was well equipped and comfortable. You cant get your car outside of the barn so you have to park at the bottom and walk up which can be muddy in the rain. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. My advice to the owners was to get some proper bath towels (only really small ones), and to cut the grass as we could both use the garden and the grass was really long). The cottage is ideally situated to get to the beaches and towns. Hot tub was amazing to relax in after a day out and about.

Very tight access to cottage for car and uneven uphill drive, no gate on drive so your dog could just walk down onto farm Lane, needs a comfier couch and mop and vac because if you have a dog a brush and dustpan and brush isn't enough to keep laminate floors clean, needs problem with beetles and woodlice and slugs sorting out.

Recommended. Lovely, quiet location, a fab hot tub, comfy bed and fancy Velux windows. Two friendly horses greet you upon arrival if you are lucky enough to see them. However, beware the very tight entrance to the property!!
