Oozing character and old-world charm, this delightful rural retreat in the heart of Mid Devon is the ideal base for a break with loved ones and your canine companions. Sleeping up to four people across two bedrooms, it particularly suits couples or families who are looking to get away from it all. Keen walkers and explorers will be in their element here with some fantastic trails on the doorstep and Exmoor’s stunning National Park just a short drive away.

This gorgeous cottage, which is attached to the owner’s property, is packed with period features and furnishings which create a comfortable and inviting home. After a busy day of exploring, put your feet up and unwind in the cosy lounge while the wood burner warms you up. The large dining room is perfect for relaxed meals together, and in the light and airy kitchen you’ll find everything you need to whip up a snack. An additional table in this room is perfect for an informal breakfast or a catch up over coffee. Head upstairs to find two welcoming bedrooms, where you’ll awake feeling rested and refreshed. Fire up the BBQ in the pretty enclosed garden and sit back with a drink while the children and dogs play.

Head into Tiverton (2 miles) where you’ll find an array of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from. Visit the canal (3.5 miles) and climb aboard the Tivertonian, one of the last remaining horse-drawn barges in the country, for a memorable heritage experience. Or pull on your walking boots and head into Exmoor National Park (10.5 miles) where you’ll find some fantastic walks and impressive scenery.

Being close to Knighthayes with a dog was great. Also good location for Exmoor, Exeter. The house was near Hartnoll Hotel which was good to have a drink at.

WOW is all my and my partner could say we have just come back from 4 nights away at the cottage it was amazing. We has such a lovely stay. The cottage was warm and cozy which was a bonus as the weather was fairly dismal! Perfect location for us with our dog. Lovely walks nearby and enclosed garden for safety. Great hotel over the road with a very good restaurant.

Excellent cosy cottage with everything you could need. Central location for exploring Devon. Unfortunately it is a bit too far to walk into Tiverton but good communication links to drive to Exeter and Barnstaple areas. Secure garden and off street parking for one car.

Beautiful cozy cottage very clean and spacious . garden well kept and excellent parking off road . A nice hotel within walking distance which does excellent food and bar open all day . Not far to drive to nice little seaside towns within an 1hr but lovely walks if want to stay closer to the beautiful cottage.

Lovely quirky cottage, visited before, close by is the Hartnoll Hotel, 5 mins walk away, lovely food, dog friendly, Nelson the Maitre d a treasure. Tiverton you need car to visit for your essentials, we visited Minehead, Sidmouth ( one of our favourites) got to go to Mocca's for lunch gets very busy. Lovely old cottage with excellent roomy modern kitchen section opening onto the garden in a very attractive village. Very close to nation trust Knightshayes so ideal for dog walking. Property in good area for getting around with good road links. Lovely safe garden for dogs to run in . I would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues as the stairs are steep and awkward to use which is not stated in the details.

Really unique cottage which so much character. Loved the non standard doors, thick walls and stone floors and at the same time the modern kitchen which was airy and light. Best of modern and old and had every thing we needed.

Very spacious lovely garden, enclosed so keeping dog safe. Quirky wooden features inside. Ben the owner very friendly, rescued me when hair dryer failed. Replaced within the hour. Hartnoll Hotel literally 5 mins away, dog friendly, lovely food. Good old fashion service.

We really enjoyed living in the cottage. It has everything you need and more. It was so well equipped I was amazed. My daughter's and my noisy doggie all had fun even though it rained the whole week....we were cosy and happy. Would recommend to anyone. Great value.

A really lovely, comfortable cottage, well kept overall and in a peaceful rural location. The cottage has a very pretty, well kept garden with table and chairs for outside living. There are beautiful walks close by and easy access to places of interest.

We loved this well-equipped beautiful cottage in an ideal location in a pretty, peaceful village that was just a few minutes from a major supermarket and Tiverton. Just a couple of minutes from the A361 and 7 minutes from the M5
