This stylish home is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the coast of North Devon, with long sandy beaches and traffic-free pathways. You will be grabbing you buckets and heading for the beach in no time. Sleeping eight across four warm bedrooms and brimming with everything you need, there is plenty of space for family and friends. Enjoy alone time in the property’s bubbling hot tub - a private bar means you can enjoy a chilled glass of bubbly and stargaze long into the evening.

From the property’s spacious hallway, a kitchen/diner brims with everything you could need. A bright and relaxing lounge invites you to curl up and watch a film or play a board game. Sandy toes and clothes are no worries with an outside shower and a handy utility/drying room with washing machine. Upstairs, two of the four comfortable super-king-size beds can be converted into twins and a handy sofa bed in the snug allows you to cater for any group combination. Enjoy dunes and estuary views from the master bedroom’s balcony as you sip your morning coffee; the gated garden provides peace of mind as little ones and their four-pawed pal can let off steam.

There is no need to travel far for bucket and spade fun. Saunton Sands beach is 3 miles away, with dunes to hide in, sandcastles to build and rockpools to explore. Just leave some time to fit in an ice cream at the end of the day. Marvel at the views overlooking Putsborough Beach (7 miles) or try out your wave riding skills and warm up after with a hot chocolate in the beach cafe. Try out sandboarding down the dunes in the Braunton Burrows (2 miles) as you spot scampering bunnies in the bushes.

We usually come down to Braunton every year to use the Tarka trail. We chose this property because it was right on the Tarka trail, so perfect for us. So far this has been the best accomodation that we have stayed in, so spacious, very well equipped, ( especially in the kitchen), and the house was perfect for relaxing in as the weather wasn't too gRead moreood this year for our stay. Six of us had an amazing couple of nights at Westlands for my girlfriend's birthday, there was great communications throughout from the host. Its an amazing house, really big and has really comfy beds and lovely hot tub, we werent aware of the military site next door but it honestly didnt affect us. Access to the Tarka trail is just around the cornRead moreer and the beaches are just a short hop in the car away. Definitely recommend this place to others! Hide

Absolutely loved this house. Perfect place for the family to get together. Kitchen is full with equipment/utensils. Right on the Tarka Trail and very close to beaches, pubs & shops. Good value for money would definitely recommend. Only thing to note is dogs aren't allowed upstairs.

We had a fab Christmas week at this property, there was everything you could possibly need, the co hosts were brilliant and the owners lovely, a beautiful house and a great location for local pub, supermarket and beaches and town of Barnstaple.

This was an amazing house to stay in. It was private yet perfectly situated for a variety of activities, walks and tourist attractions. The furnishings were very modern and luxurious and the owners had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. This stay was perfect for families especially with dogs. It literally had everything we needed!!! Think it was great value for what we paid, the location, size and the amenities it offered. We had a wonderful holiday and the weather couldnt have been better. We all had a great time. The hot tub and barbecue were a great success.. The dogs loved the sand dunes and paddling in the water. We found some great seafood restaurants in the nearby towns and a great butchers and bakery in Braunton.

We really enjoyed our stay at Westlands. The property is very spacious, there was ample room for five adults plus two dogs. The kitchen is very well equipped. The outside area is fully secure for the dogs and the addition of the outside shower was great for washing them after the beach. We really enjoyed our stay at Westlands, the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped, which is always very welcome when you stay away from home and want to cook for yourselves! The hot tub was a lovely addition too :-) Overall we had a great stay!

Spacious accommodation, big TV in lounge, well equipped kitchen, lovely pub 8 minutes walk away, take coat hangers for wardrobes as there only a few, football goal not available even though on photos of property. All in all a lovely property. We found a few niggles some were solved by Helen.

We stayed as Westlands last year and were happy to have gone back this year. There is loads of space for the 8 of us and the dog. Secure gates means the dogs and kids can roam around outside freely and safely which is a great to have. Beaches are not far away and there is the Tarka trail for walks which is nice & relaxing. A lovely house with everything you can wish for, clean, modern, spacious and a welcome place to return to after a long day on the beach or sight seeing. We had seven people staying and there was plenty of room, it felt like having your own little palace near the sea.
