The property is also dog friendly and offers a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge for those slightly larger groups.

On arrival, pass a small grassy area with a designated bistro set where morning coffee is best enjoyed whilst soaking up the sounds and the smells of the sea. Inside you’ll find two rooms, an open-plan living space and an adjacent wet room, offering an all-encompassing base to feel at home in. The main studio-style living space is compact yet separated into three distinct areas, a kitchen at one side, a lounge/diner in the centre and a double bed at the other side. Find a Smart TV and a selection of board games to fill your evenings with entertainment, choosing to curl up on the sofa bed or sit comfortably at the dining table as you let your evenings roll on by.

There’s so much beauty to be discovered on foot in this area, including the nearby Man Sands Beach (1.5 miles), the riverside town of Dartmouth (3 miles) with its splendid castle and the National Trust property of Greenway (3 miles) along the River Dart. Very clean and compact, quiet accommodation, well equipped. It was located just where we wanted to be to enable us to explore Brixham and surrounding area of Dartmoor and Dartmouth, we did some excellent walks with our dog and found the people we met in Brixham to be very friendly. A bonus to have parking outside.

Great studio apartment in a nice location. A bus stop is available at the end of the road. Having a car helps to get around. Recommended.

We recently stayed at Ramblers Retreat whilst visiting our daughter and family staying at a nearby campsite. The property was perfectly located for both the campsite but also for visiting local towns and areas of interest. Compact and clean accomodation with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We appreciated the wine and milk and our dog was very happy with his doggy treats. Location was quiet and felt very safe in a residential area. Good off road parking. A car is essential for this accomodation as it is two miles into Brixham and there are no local shops/pubRead mores nearby. There is a bus service into Brixham and Kingswear. We spent 2 weeks at Rambler's Retreat. The accommodation was fabulous. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and very quiet. Surroundings were lovely. Outside area was a little suntrap. Just a short drive from Brixham. Shops and supermarkets within a short radius and within easy driving distance of Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Newton Abbott.
