Located within Exmoor National Park just 2 miles from Blacklands Beach, this pretty property promises a welcome escape from a busy life to its guests. Cosy and welcoming, this charming cottage is an opportunity to discover the superb Devon coastline as well at the many walks around the national park. Wake up gently among peaceful decor, then grab your breakfast and dine on the terrace with fabulous coastal views.

Whether you’re off to the pub less than half a mile away or enjoying a drink from the garden room, everyone will find their favourite spot here. The interiors are fresh and bright with stunning uneven stone walls and rustic woods and brick dotted throughout. The lounge is filled with light during the day thanks to the bay window, but close the blinds and light the wood burner in the evening and it’s the perfect place to relax in. The second-floor double bedroom is the one to nab with fabulous sea views in one direction and countryside views in the other.

Make sure you take a ride on the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway; the top station is only half a mile from the door. The National Trust’s Watersmeet (3.5 miles) features a dramatic river gorge and over 40 miles of footpaths for you and the family to explore. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (11.5 miles) is a hit with kids since you can see animals and dinosaurs living side by side! Ilfracombe (19 miles) is a fantastic day out, featuring boat trips from the harbour, an aquarium and fascinating beaches.

An ideal location for visiting North Devon. Lovely to sit outside the small sitting room in the morning and late afternoon. Great views from the top of the garden if you're able to do the steps which are steep, but worth the effort. Cottage quite basic, but comfortable, particularly the bed, slept so well here. Have plenty of equipment throughout.

Lovely cottage with a lot of character. A lot of steps throughout the cottage but manageable if you are fit and well. Within easy reach of the town and local dog walk.

The cottage is in a great location for getting into town. Its also very quiet. Parking, however, is a bit of an issue. Some nice touches on arrival - fresh flowers and biscuits. Plenty of thick towels, and loo roll! Kitchen not very well equipped for cooking food from scratch - pans and utensils not great. Stone Cottage is in a fantastic location for exploring the villages and surrounding countryside. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Downstairs is spacious with extra living space on the first floor.

The cottage was lovely, and the garden views from the top were wonderful! We enjoyed the spacious house which was perfect for our family of 5. Everything we needed was there in the cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quirky cottage. The location was good- within walking distance of Lynton and Lynmouth and valley of the rocks: all of which were fabulous. The cottage itself was Clean, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Access to the upper part of the garden was very steep so we did not use it- bRead moreut the space a few steps up could be made into a nice sitting area and perhaps all would be able to use it. A very enjoyable break, the cottage is very clean and has everything I needed for the holiday. We love walking so its an excellent location for us, coast path and Exmoor walks all on the doorstep.

Lovely cottage which was like the tardis inside. Big kitchen and lounge and three nice sized bedrooms. Extra miminsitting room was a bonus! Inly a 5 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants of lynton. We had a great stay and so many walks/activities close by.

This is a cosy and well-appointed cottage. We particularly enjoyed the log fire in the evening. The view from the top floor bedroom is lovely. The view from the garden is not for the faint-hearted as it is a steep climb!

Although this property was a good size with plenty of room for young grandchildren to run around, the standard of cleanliness was poor. The hot water tap was broken in the top floor bathroom. There were cobwebs hanging from light fittings. There was exposed wiring on one of the ceiling roses. There was thick dust under the beds and under all the liRead moreving room furniture.
