Ideally situated in a rural spot just outside the bustling seaside town of Ilfracombe, this light and colourful cottage makes for a lovely holiday home. Providing cheerful accommodation for four guests, the annexe is perfect for families and couples looking for a warm and welcoming base for exploring the stunning coastline and beautiful countryside of North Devon. This delightful cottage is within easy reach of several glorious beaches and is set on the western edge of Exmoor National Park, making it a fantastic and relaxing retreat.

 

Upon entering the cottage, the porch leads to four steps taking you up into the charming and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With wooden flooring and an attractive array of furnishings, this bright, relaxing space is a fabulous living area, with plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV, breakfast bar, dining table and a useful range of kitchen equipment. Stairs lead directly up from the lounge to the first floor where you will find two tasteful and cosy bedrooms, each attractively furnished and decorated in light, soothing tones and each featuring a Smart TV. One is a charming twin room which can be made up as a super-king-size room on request, and one an en-suite king-size room. The property also features a stylish shower room. French doors lead out from the lounge and down a step into the enclosed garden which features outdoor furniture and a BBQ.

 

Ilfracombe (3 miles) has a fantastic range of restaurants, pubs and independent shops, and is home to the Tunnels Beaches, a thriving harbour and Damien Hirst’s Verity. There are some wonderful beaches nearby, including Woolacombe (7 miles), Lee Bay (6.5 miles) and Broadsands (4 miles). There are miles of stunning walks, and also local attractions including Exmoor Zoo (11 miles), Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (7 miles) and Arlington Court (9 miles).

Recommend this cottage to stay . Woolacoombe ( 5 mile plus beach ) and Ilfracombe beach short drive , dog friendly . Tesco short drive for all your shopping . Owners very helpful

Lovely cottage amidst beautiful countryside, handy for Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. A good sized secure garden for the dogs. Steep stairs, so maybe not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Beautiful Annex clean & tidy lovely location, however after staying in several different types of pet friendly stays before this didnt feel very pet friendly unfortunately which hadan impact on our holiday not the most enjoyable!! I would recommend a stay just without a pet !!

The Butterfly Annex was lovely for our little getaway, secure garden so our dog could enjoy the garden whilst we were in the hot tub. The annex itself was very clean and the little welcome snacks and drinks were lovely. Couldnt asked for a better place, will definitely be returning again next year!

Lovely property, good location with easy access to local attractions & beaches. The hot tub is a real hit and was used every day. The garden is dog friendly and secure, our escape artist dogs did not find a way out. Super king bed comfortable and we slept very well. Shower fitted with a rainfall shower which was very good.

Just returned from a lovely week at the annex with our two springers & son. We found the cottage to be perfect for our needs. Private enclosed garden with hot tub. Well equipped . Even down to hand soap. Dish clothes and tea towels. The washing machine is a bonus. The local Tesco is only 3 mins drive and is large & well stocked. We stayed for a week at the end of July 2023 at the Butterfly Annexe, what an amazing place to stay, although the weather was not great a couple of days, the hot tub allowed us to still enjoy ourselves. Beautiful location, just a few minutes drive from Woolacombe or Ilfracombe. Really clean lovely cottage with really good modern facilities, comfy beds and everything provided that you could need for your stay. Hot tub was amazing!

We stayed for a week and loved the cottage. Welcome cake and Easter eggs were a lovely treat. The facilities were great. Beds very comfy. Hot tub very enjoyable and relaxing. Bathrooms lovely. Lovely doggie friendly property and location. Hot tub fabulous once up to temperature. Comfy beds and lovely shower rooms. The garden was enclosed so our Jack Russell definitely couldnt escape!

What an amazing place to stay.
