Nestled among the golden sands, bustling bays and secluded coves of Woolacombe’s fantastic coastline, this bolthole is a beach lovers’ paradise. Snug yet stylish living invites you back for relaxing evenings after salty days, and this hayloft is perfect for families or couples with plenty of places to savour good food and local produce in town.
Bright, fresh tones keep it simple in this charming reverse-level abode. The neutral decor is complemented by natural materials, sloping ceilings and the occasional hint to your coastal location, creating a peaceful haven in which to relax post-beach day. Unwind beneath exposed beams in the first-floor living space where the lounge seamlessly flows into the dining area and the kitchen for sociable evenings. With a bedroom on each floor, get a restful night’s sleep before rising in the morning and wandering to the end of the road for a morning coffee and a pastry with sea views.
Discover a beach a day without straying far from your door and start with the fantastic, 3-mile-long main beach. Running from RNLI-patrolled (during summer) Woolacombe to the more sheltered end at Putsborough, it’s the perfect beach for families with surfing, sandcastle building and safe sea swimming all on offer. Walk up the dunes to Marine Drive and savour delicious treats from the cafe or return as the day comes to an end and watch the sun set over the glittering ocean. Barricane is a small shell-covered cove great for romantic dates and the cafe serves up delicious Sri Lankan curries on hot days. For a stretch of the legs and possible seal sightings, wander the South West Coast Path past Morte Point.
