  • Brilliant location for exploring the English Riviera
  • A lovely property set in a quiet area of Torquay
Property code: OC-82540

Escape to the English Riviera where palm trees line the promenade, and you can enjoy waterside dining. The pebble-effect electric fire welcomes you back home, or spend time basking in the sun and lounge on the terrace with a drink in hand. You’ll arrive to a thoughtful welcome pack so you can tuck into treats from the moment you arrive.

A fresh feel flows throughout this home, helping you to unwind and relax amid light, tranquil tones and warm furnishings. Light floods into the lounge through patio doors so you can let a summer breeze flow inside or, when there’s a chill in the air, fire up the electric fire and get cosy on the inviting sofa. Great for fun nights in with family and friends, the games shelf is well-stocked, and the open-plan kitchen/diner means you can get competitive at the table and top up your drink with ease. The light, pretty style continues upstairs in the bedrooms where sloping ceilings add character. Take care of internal and external steps.

Take to the water and board a boat from the local marina where you can visit Brixham or Dartmouth for a fun day out. Whet your appetite with fish fresh from the day’s catch before heading back to Torquay and treating yourself to a tipple in a waterside bar. For a stretch of the legs, tread the South West Coast Path which winds for 630 miles between Minehead and Poole or venture 14.5 miles to the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

Lovely, spacious and quiet place to stay and very central to all of the places we visited around the area (so much to see and do). As other reviews mention, the parking up to the property is curved and steep, so my son chose to park down the road which was not a problem. Very enjoyable stay in this peaceful setting, although in a hilly location, we walked in to Cockington, to the seafront and in to Torquay. The local shops were a bonus. We were so very fortunate to have had a hot sunny week to enjoy this charming accomodation.

Lovely cosy place tucked away and not over looked. It had all we required for a nice break. One thing to be aware of, driving requires great care on approach road and entrance which is quite tight.

A good base for touring the area. Entrance is tight, so large vehicle is inadvisable. Access into the cottage is easy, and parking is right outside. Bedrooms are a good size, as is the bathroom. Bonus in kitcheb is a gas hob - - really user-friendly! Quiet property so good sleep guaranteed. Fair value for money.
