A few steps lead up to the veranda and into the hut. The main room comprises a beautifully laid-out and fully equipped kitchen/diner, light-filled with superb views over the countryside. With a charming dining area, warming wood burner and a well-appointed kitchen, this is a fantastic spot for cooking and sharing your favourite meals. A door leads through to the bedroom, with the elevated double bed accessed by a ladder, and with a pretty view from the porthole window. The hut also has a stylish shower room. Outside, you can sit back on the furnished decked veranda or head over to the charming summerhouse with a BBQ, plenty of seating and a TV. The garden has a lawn with outdoor furniture and an inviting hot tub.
Walkers and cyclists can follow a variety of paths, with the Tarka Trail passing nearby. Dartmoor National Park is to the south (13.5 miles) or you can head north-west to discover the rugged Hartland Heritage Coast (15 miles) and the sandy beach of Westward Ho! (16 miles). The hut is within easy reach of the historic market town of Great Torrington (7.5 miles), where there’s a great choice of restaurants and pubs, along with RHS Garden Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal.
