The perfect family home for a holiday in Torquay, situated in a brilliant spot to explore South Devon’s superb walks and Torbay's wonderful beaches.

A welcoming property just a mile from the heart of Torquay, this fantastic holiday home provides light and airy accommodation for eight guests. Perfect for a larger family or friends enjoying seaside getaway or exploring the sparkling coastline of the English Riviera, this delightful retreat lies on the outskirts of Babbacombe, close to a range of popular attractions. Ideally situated for discovering the picturesque resorts dotted along Torbay, this charming holiday property makes a fabulous base, whether you’re looking for a quiet getaway or a base for walking and exploring in South Devon.

A light hallway leads you through into the spacious open-plan lounge/diner. The lounge is a lovely space to socialise and relax, with plenty of seating and a TV/DVD so you can watch a movie in the evening. The dining area is ideal for sharing all your favourite meals which you can cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs, there are three bright and cosy bedrooms: a twin room with TV, a children’s room with two sets of bunk beds, and the master double bedroom which has a TV and opens onto a lovely terrace area, perfect for a morning coffee. The property also features a bathroom on each floor. Outside, steps lead up to the decked terrace garden with a raised area perfect for al fresco meals on a sunny afternoon.

The South West Coast Path passes close to the property, offering spellbinding views out to sea. The house is perfect for exploring Babbacombe, with attractions including Oddicombe Beach, Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves, Babbacombe Model Village and Babbacombe Cliff Railway (all within a mile). Torquay (1.5 miles) has plenty of great places to eat and drink, or you can head to the zoo and Splashdown Quaywest in Paignton (6 miles).

  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £350 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £40. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Lovely property with everything that you would need and more, books to read, games for the family to enjoy which are ideal for the evenings. Very spacious property that has a real homely feel, would highly recommend this property for your holiday stay

Cottage is in a perfect location for accessing Torbay, lovely and quiet as well, we have been using this cottage for at least 10 years now

A very nice, well equipped house in a good location. Near Babbacombe and Oddicombe beaches. Handy for bus stops too, if you want to go further afield.

Lovely property, felt homely and comfortable. Was very clean. Kitchen well equipped. Large enough so that we weren't on top of each other. Great situation - backs onto a field leading to a coastal path. Bus stop just around the corner. Had everything you might need for a great holiday. Books available to read, dvd player and dvds, WII game station Read moreand games. This property is the best we've ever stayed in. All 6 of us (3 generations) would highly recommend. Hide

Anyone wanting to stay at Waves End as a family this is a great property to be at. Wonderful location and well equipped house which makes you feel at home.

Lovely location but property really needs bringing up to date. Upstairs is beautiful, nice views and airy bedrooms. Downstairs was rather dirty which unfortunately lets the property down. Lights not working, cupboards left with out of date food and utensils poor standard for cooking. It needs a deep clean. Didn't want to use the decking in the gardRead moreen as rotten through in many places and looks tired. 100% not room for 2 cars on the drive either. Great location. We travelled with a dog and the property was very secure. There is a large green space out of the property and is perfect for dog walks. There is even a gate at the rear of the property giving direct access! However, currently overgrown with nettles so cannot access. Stayed in Waves End Feb half term 2023. Location was great, house was a bit dated and could do with some decoration but comfortable. However we had hot water issues when we tried to shower, water going from boiling hot to freezing cold. A huge burn risk for small kids like ours. Called the caretaker in the morning, but no one attended till 6.30pm bRead morey which time no plumber could be found. The caretaker then ignored our calls and was generally very unhelpful.
