The open-plan lounge/diner has comfortable seating to relax on after a busy day of sightseeing, as well as subtle lighting to create a relaxed ambience and a cosy wood burner for chilly evenings. Cottage-style stairs lead you to the first floor, where you’ll discover a chic king-size bedroom and bathroom. A further flight of stairs takes you to the second bedroom. Outside, there’s a small courtyard where you can enjoy a relaxing glass of wine in the Devon sunshine.
Pack your buckets and spades and head to Exmouth for a day at the seaside. Build sandcastles on the soft, golden sand or get the adrenaline pumping with one of the many water sports on offer at the beach. Exmouth is also regarded as the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, with many fascinating walks branching out from the town. Powderham Castle (9 miles) makes a great day out. Set within an ancient deer park, the location is quite spectacular. Wander the extensive grounds, take a guided tour of the majestic rooms and say hello to the animals in the pets’ corner.
