This charming cottage, tucked away on one of Topsham’s hidden roads, sleeps four guests, making it ideal for a small family getaway or a couples’ retreat. The quaint seaside town is located on the Exe estuary, where you can enjoy beautiful sunset walks or join the Exe Estuary Cycle Trail. The popular seaside resort of Exmouth, with its 2 miles of golden sand, is just 6.5 miles away. Alternatively, the cathedral city of Exeter (6.5 miles) makes a fabulous day out. Explore its underground passageways, spectacular architecture and wonderful selection of independent shops and eateries.

A cute stable door leads you into the delightful cottage, which is decorated in calming neutral tones and features beautiful, exposed woodwork. The open-plan lounge/diner has comfortable seating to relax on after a busy day of sightseeing, as well as subtle lighting to create a relaxed ambience and a cosy wood burner for chilly evenings. Cottage-style stairs lead you to the first floor, where you’ll discover a chic king-size bedroom and bathroom. A further flight of stairs takes you to the second bedroom. Outside, there’s a small courtyard where you can enjoy a relaxing glass of wine in the Devon sunshine.

Pack your buckets and spades and head to Exmouth for a day at the seaside. Build sandcastles on the soft, golden sand or get the adrenaline pumping with one of the many water sports on offer at the beach. Exmouth is also regarded as the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, with many fascinating walks branching out from the town. Powderham Castle (9 miles) makes a great day out. Set within an ancient deer park, the location is quite spectacular. Wander the extensive grounds, take a guided tour of the majestic rooms and say hello to the animals in the pets’ corner.

Very nice cottage in tranquil location but no parking facility and permit holders only on surrounding roads. Allow 11 per day for parking in nearest quayside car park

Cottage very nice the only drawback were carpets very corse and painful to walk on with our shoes off . The sofa wasnt comfortable as it was to low to the floor . Topsham is a beautiful village well kept. People were very friendly and helpful. Nice and relaxing.The only thing I would say is topsham is not very family oriented. Very expensive if youRead more like eating out . We went out of town mainly to eat . Topsham had a nice chip shop nice and reasonably priced. Temp Parking permit would be helpful Hide

Beautiful old and cozy cottage in a great location near the river in Topsham. Tastefully decorated, with comfortable furniture and beds. We'd return here every time.

The cottage is lovely, well maintained and full of character. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The small patio is perfect and we even found use for it during November. The beds were very comfortable and this is definitely one of the better cottages I have rented. The location is perfect and quiet.

We thought the cottage was lovely. We have stayed in Topsham many times, but this was the first time we actually looked forward to staying in on a few evenings , just to enjoy the comforts of the property. Although you are unable to park here after off loading , the carpark is not to far away ,so we did not see this as a problem.

A very comfortable and nicely modernised little cottage in the heart of Topsham, perfect for a couple or a few people staying in this delightful estuary town. The kitchen had everything we needed, including space.

Wisteria Cottage is a comfortable, cosy cottage well located for a quiet stay in Topsham, whilst there is no parking in the vicinity it is easy to stop outside the cottage and unload and then park in one of the car parks, Holman Way is about a 10 min walk. The kitchen was well equipped, with doors to a little courtyard for warmer weather. The stairRead mores are quite narrow and steep so unsuitable for those with mobility issues although they add to the cottagey feel Hide

Wisteria Cottage is a beautiful bijou property. Very well appointed and equipped, we enjoyed a lovely long weekend here and will return :)
