A beautiful, thatched cottage set in the heart of this riverside village within 10 miles of the coast. A short stroll to the village green, church and traditional village pub.

This chocolate-box cottage sits in the rural village of Weare Giffard with valley views from the top of the garden and rustic features adding charm and character. The golden sands of Westward Ho! are 9.5 miles from your door whilst RHS Rosemoor Gardens is closer to home so there are plenty of places to spend time before tucking into a meal at the local pub. After time in the great outdoors, snuggle up in front of the wood burner with family and friends for a relaxing evening.

Beneath its gorgeous, thatched roof, this cottage boasts traditional style and has exposed beams and stonework. Neutral tones will help you relax in the cosy lounge where the wood burner transforms the space into a snug sanctuary in the evenings. Switch on the smart TV for a family film night or head outside and fill your lungs with fresh air in the lovely garden where you can sit on the patio and admire the views, taking care of steps. The quaint kitchen has all you need to rustle up delicious meals to enjoy before you head up the steep, cottage-style stairs to find the two pretty bedrooms where you can drift off.

Head out from your door and enjoy woodland walks, a stroll along the river or take to the traffic-free Tarka Trail on foot or on two wheels. For a coastal hike, the South West Coast Path can be joined in many places, with one of the easiest being Westward Ho! (9.5 miles) where you can also enjoy beach days and the amusement arcades. Just 2.5 miles away, visit the streets of the market town of Torrington and pop by Dartington Crystal.

A super comfortable and well positioned cottage in a lovely quiet village but within easy reach of North Devons many attractions. The cottage has great outside space for relaxing and admiring the country views. There is a local pub within easy walking distance (about 5 minutes walk) with very welcoming hosts and great pub grub. A lovely stay.

Comfortable, clean, magnificent to look at, with a decent, friendly pub down the road. If there's sunshine, the patio gets it for both morning coffee and evening refreshments. Great scenery but not many footpaths in the area - the Tarka Trail is very popular.
