This charming, quintessentially English cottage sits on the banks of the River Tavy offering guests panoramic views from its conservatory and spacious garden. Large families or groups of friends will love returning to this property after a busy day exploring the surrounding countryside that is part of the stunning Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which borders wild and rugged Dartmoor National Park. Nestled into the Bere Peninsula in the tranquil village of Bere Ferrers, there is a pub, shop and railway station within a few hundred metres of the property.

Fitting snugly into a terrace of houses, this characterful cottage has been lovingly decorated to integrate original features with the contemporary country-cottage décor. In the spacious lounge, you'll see exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace with a woodburner. Stepping through a small doorway, you will find yourself in the delightful kitchen/diner, which is well-equipped and has plenty of seating. The three spacious bedrooms (a double, a twin and a bunk bedroom) are on the first floor with the beautiful, spacious bathroom and there is a further double room on the second floor with sloping ceilings and an en-suite shower room. Outside, there is a large, enclosed riverside garden with dining furniture and a BBQ, making it the perfect spot to enjoy sunny weather.

Located near the Devon-Cornwall border, you are well situated to enjoy both counties. On your doorstep is the River Tavy which flows to the historic, market town of Tavistock (8 miles). To understand the tin mining history of the area, visit Morwelham Quay, which is a museum with a working village, mine and craft centre (6.5 miles). The National Trust's Cotehele is also nearby (11.5 miles) or for something more cosmopolitan, venture into the bustling city of Plymouth, with its shops, bars and aquarium (14.5 miles).

It was excellent. Nicely tucked out of the way with great view of the estuary. Well equipped and some nice touches for when you arrive. Couple of the doors are low, so need to mind your head, especially the first bedroom at the op of the stairs. Parking on the quay or by the road was a gamble. Absolutely fabulous location. Cottage is comfortable with a garden overlooking the estuary. Overall a lot nicer than in the photos. Rivertide is a beautiful cottage in a remote, pretty village with views across the estuary. It had a well equipped kitchen and was comfortable throughout. It suited our 2 families of 4 adults and 3 children very well. The lack of designated car parking was never an issue during our April visit, but maybe it could be in the summer. Stunning location overlooking the estuary. Perfect for kayaking and swimming when the tide is in. The cottage is very comfortable and we loved sitting in the conservatory playing games and admiring the view. We had great fun at The Olde Plough Inn, engaging with the staff and other diners. Fantastic location right on the edge of the river. Great for paddle boarding (when the tide is in). Quiet location away from busy touristy areas.

A very spacious and comfortable cottage with a great view of the river. We enjoyed taking the dogs for a walk along the footpath by the river to the well equipped playing field with a tennis court available to hire and an extensive childrens play area.

Beautiful and relaxing cottage with a stunning view over the river. Very comfortable and spacious. The pub round the corner was excellent, lovely food and very friendly. Fantastic location to take day trips to Cornwall or Devon.

Great property in a fantastic location. The property is beautifully set up to maximise the stunning views across the river. It was so nice to wake up and have breakfast in the conservatory whilst enjoying the wildlife right outside the window. We had three generations who all had an amazing time.
