The Holt is a gem of a place! It's immaculate inside, stylishly decorated, warm and cosy, but it's the location that sets it apart: with access to the river from the end of the garden and to the Tarka Trail from the driveway it's an outdoor lover's dream! The Holt was ideally situated for our stay, tucked away far enough from the main road so we could happily let our dog out the door for her final nightime pee. A perfectly located cottage in Devon for peace and quiet. The photos online don't do its location justice, it's so pretty and tranquil. Plenty of space for 2 of us, we used the wardrobe in the spare room as there isn't one in the master so we'd struggle having more people! Fantastic hosts, nothing too much trouble. Love clean & comfy top floor barn convention. Stunning location very close to the Tarka Trail, Bideford & great beaches. Tidal river at the bottom of the garden which we used for kayaking a couple of times, was not easy to drag down the steep steps though.
